Been a while since I've done any additions to the expanda but received a late Christmas present (Reversing Camera) and spent a few hours today fitting it. Ran out of time to wire up the Prado due to visitors and finding out that someone that I will not name (Just in case Mrs Dagree sees this ;) ) threw the ali angle I was going to use on the bulk rubbish pile last weekend >:( and when removing the existing bracket found the 7 pin plug was cracked when I had the new towbar fitted so that will be a job for next weekend.

Reverse Camera Install 001.jpg
Added a bracket and drilled a few holes in the rear wheel holder and fed the cable through the chassis beams.

Reverse Camera Install 002.jpg
Bought a junction box from Jaycar, fitted the plug/socket and fitted it inside the drawbar.

OH and I had a helper LOL

Will post a pic of the screen when it's all up and running.

@skippy the camera and cables were part of an Axis brand caravan and car system http://www.audioxtra.com.au/PRODUCTS/Mobile-Safety/JS055CK.asp
A work mates partner works for a supplier and he just wanted the monitor and car camera. I did him a favour and he got her to order the system and gave me the caravan components as a thankyou!

The little fella got lunch for his efforts but I have got him booked in next weekend to mow the lawns and trim some bushes while I wire up the Prado... Might even give him some dinner next when finished 8-)

Managed to get the wiring done on the Prado for the reversing camera on the weekend and had enough light to fit the bracket on the rear tonight and almost finish the install.... Just waiting for the switch to arrive (Standard fitting Prado size so no mods needed).

Once the switch is fitted it'll be time to switch :lever: on the power and see if I've done it right and try it out :tea:

On Order........

Reverse Camera Plug.jpg
All tidied up.... 2 x Anderson Plugs, 7 Pin Trailer Plug, Air Bag Valves and camera plug all in the one area.

Hopefully get the pic of the screen for you on the weekend @skippy !

Full screen shot but unfortunately no radio or cd can be played as it is plugged into the auxiliary setup.

Next option....... Hit the Picture in Picture button and radio and camera at the same time :encouragement:
Might have to see what the 2-Zone button does!!!!!
