Lol, lol, lol, oh David what fun youvé had...........................I've had to shorten my winder handle due to hands missing bits, grinder and welder sorted it out.

My Engel has been bouncing around tracks since 1978, we used tilley lamps and candles back then and dare I say it we all carried cig lighters.

Never leave home with out the hardwood fence palling and lintel off cuts, not to mention the Supacheap wheel thingys.

If my roof hatch leaks at least it ends up in the shower.

OK here we are with the WA crew at Toodyay and the weather has turned to $h!t...
No issues with wet bed ends..... Just about to get ready to join tonights bonfire and the rain begins again and.......... Bloody skylight starts pissing water inside.

Towels and bucket now on floor collecting rain water :( Currently slowed to a constant drip!

Looks like the Jayco installers had a bad hair day the day the skylights were sealed as @Nagga's had the same problem!!!!!!! And she picked hers up the same day as us.
Oh no, those bloody skylights!!! Well we removed ours and cleaned & resealed it now just waiting for some rain which is forecast next week to see how it goes! Think I will cry if it starts waking again!!

Depending on how long it takes to get booked in might end up doing the same @Nagga's

Typical!! It's just started raining and it's cold out there, won't sleep tonight thinking about what I may face in the morning. Hopefully not a flooded expanda :(
UH OH... Fingers crossed for you. No doubt you would have done a better job than Jayco ;)

Van is booked in for 15th August to get the skylight and a few minor things sorted. Could have got in earlier but it would have only been the skylight that would get looked at on the day.

Good to hear @Nagga's
Called into Caravanland today to see if they had any. When she checked the computer they haven't even been loaded for transport... No wonder WA stands for "Wait Awhile" :o
She wasn't too happy as they have been getting calls daily asking about them..... Maybe lots of WA people watching this site:ranger:

A couple of other items needed......
1. A new or relocated jockey wheel. Since adding the ali box I have scraped my nuckles on it "God knows how many times". The handle just touches the box and I forget to move my hand to allow for it :tape:.
Will sort this one out when we get back to Perth after the couple of warranty jobs.

Hey @dagree
I had the same problem with my last van with gouging my knuckles on the tool box.
Have a look at one of these Trailer Mates that saved my knuckles>>

My jockey wheel handle was doing the same, I just cut and rewelded it. I have one of those fold away jobs, gatting out the damn thng is a pain easier to just pull the handle and bingo its vertical.

One of those will be on the top of the list @skippy just showed the Mrs and she cringed at the price but I said "At least you will be able to use it to line up the height of the Tregg coupling and save me getting out and adjusting"... Think it worked.
Thanks :encouragement:

Yeh the price is up there but once you buy one you will never go back to a every day jockey wheel.
Now I just reverse up to the van and my wife adjusts the jockey wheel to suit....how good is that:applouse:

With the spare wheel holder complete and an hour of sunshine left (just) started the next couple of additions to the van....

SWMBO'd likes to look at herself when trying to make herself "beautiful" and cleaning her teeth so a small mirror was added above the ensuite basin... Lucky she's a short @r$e :behindsofa:

As others may have found out it's a PITA drying the dunny and putting up with water running down the inside of the door, when opened, and dripping on the van floor after having a shower so have installed a curtain rail.... Now all that is needed is the curtain but she assures me one will be waiting for me when I get home tomorrow night!!

Hi @dagree where did you purchase the shower curtain rail and mountings from, keen to install the same mod. The girls get water everywhere it drives me nuts! Thanks for your help. Keep the mods up all look great.

Hi @MiniKlein
The curtain rail and fittings were purchased from our local (and only) Jayco dealer in WA - Caravanland.
The rail comes in 2.5 mtr length and is easily bendable by hand... OH and if you make a booboo it's easily straightened :D
I know Camec used to sell it here but someone mentioned that they don't do them anymore but can't confirm that!

Few more minor mods done this afternoon while the weather was being kind:
1) Removed the rear spare wheel holder and welded on a bracket to lock the chain to..... Originally had it wrapped around the bumper but had to unlock and remove the chain when lowering...
Spare Wheel Holder 008.jpg

2) Fitted the spare wheel cover...
Spare Wheel Holder 009.jpg

3) After the discussions regarding full annexes and new gas rules I did some research and calculations and realised that the two small vents fitted to the rear of the ali box may not big enough  so added a couple of extras on one side... Doing the same to the other side next weekend (Ran out of daylight and the Grandson came over for a play). Also drilled a 32mm hole in the floor and fitted a vent on the bottom of the box incase we ever get any water ingress!

4) Thanks to @skippy for reminding me to spend some of my hard earned $'s so picked up a Trail-A-Mate and fitted it... Could be one of the best marriage saving devices ever invented after getting SWMBO'd to try it out :clap2:
Img_0340_Resized.jpg

5) Took @Bmhdg76 advise re the door step and went to bunnings and got an outdoor mat and cut it to shape to fit... Bloody expensive at $4 but can't complain considering a Jayco one with logo is $125  and got two mats out of the one... So only $2 each :thumb:
