hey, I have 9 of the little buggers to go off.............

make it interesting going up hills.............

water temp is the first to go off at 105*
then Boost at 10lb
then EGT at 450*
some times even the oil pressure joins in, and goes off at 60lb (I think it is, never looked actually)

hahahahahahahahaha
My water can be fine but EGTs can be very hight not on this trip though most i got 610 going up very long hills water temp is well under half but need more gauges for better readings

Yeah it is interesting @Bluey , gave the Prado a bit of stick this morning and got the EGT up to 600 without issue, suppose it is more of an issue when it is consistantly up there and not just a quick "floor it" to see how high you can get :)

Those pillar pod mounts are great, really wanted to get these for the Prado, but because of the ADR requirements and curtain airbags in the pillars you are not allowed.........maybe in the next car, would love to do up an old FJ40 and put a nice V8 in it

I will be getting them for the cruiser and you will notice higher temps on very hot days towing i dont know how mountinous WA is but on the east coast we have no shortage of climbs and on the hot days can sort you out when your towing up a good hill try to keep a constant speed and then you will see the EGT rise you will end up driving by it its very good teaches you throdel control

I have been lead to believe - by a mate who works for Main Roads
we have less than 10% of our roads with hills.......... the rest is flat as........

we had this argument when I was asking about Brookton Hwy, and why was it a mongrel with hills.....
and the hills between Geraldton & Northampton.........

Final major mod complete today, got the Long Range Automotive (LRA) fuel tank installed, the guys at ORE advised pretty standard install no issues, so now we have 223litres (total) of diesel goodness for the long roads ahead, should get us at least 1000km per tank whilst towing.
