Doesn't look too windy for up that way this time of year.

Just up the road from where I use to live. At least it looks as though the breeze wasn't in, you need to watch out when it does comes in.

You forgot the disco ball. We ......you guy, us n @Crusty181 ..........could have a party on the GRR!!!!

Sounds like a plan :)

Getting ready to read about the UFO sightings along the GRR soon ;)

Hey @dagree and @bigcol you guys will come up for the party wouldn't you it's only a few thousand km's away ;), but am sure with @Crusty181 there it will be one to remember......
Its a date

Getting to the end of the mods for the Prado before the lap

@Bluey you will be happy to know I finally got the EGT/Boost gauge installed today, mounted it in the centre console next to the low range switch, works a treat and will let me know if I hit a pre-set high temp up to 700 degrees, no sure for the Prado what the "slow down and let it cool down a bit temp" should be :) but will monitor it when I am towing and assume something higher than 500-600 should be about it, more research required.

Also wanted to make sure that we won't be suffering from any contaminated fuel whilst on our lap so picked up a secondary fuel filter kit at Perth show the other week and finally got this sorted today as well.

let me know if I hit a pre-set high temp up to 700 degrees

if 700 is your max top - I would set the alarm for 650
the gauge will sound the beeps and change colour when you get to that, which will warn you enough
especially if you need to keep at that temp / speed / pace for a little bit longer

my Boost is set to 10 - max boost I can make is 12 (at the moment)
my EGTs are set to 450 (500 being not a good idea for a long time - I can go to a max of 600, but not a good idea from a long life sort of thing, but its never gone over 475 yet - up hill towing)

thanks for the info, will have a look at a few Prado forums to get an idea of the settings, yeah they are pretty cool to change colour and beep at you.

hey, I have 9 of the little buggers to go off.............

make it interesting going up hills.............

water temp is the first to go off at 105*
then Boost at 10lb
then EGT at 450*
some times even the oil pressure joins in, and goes off at 60lb (I think it is, never looked actually)

hahahahahahahahaha
