Brad my tank hose is now in the shower assembly so space has not been improved just the mains connection is gone. I turn my water off at the quarter turn valve when we go away for the day. I stayed next to a van once which had a pipe blow off in side and it made a mess. I do not like the way Jayco use clear tube. Mine has gone a bit yukky inside, I thought about re doing it, maybe in my favourite Bunning's pressure pipe, not that it needs to be pressure but just the convenience of getting it at Bunning's.

Be nice to have a setup with a three way valve so you can have the hose connected and use mains pressure and operate the valve to fill the water tanks...

Thinking now ... wonder what I could find on the interweb. I don't like how the pipework goes "through" the van. ie into the van then out of it.

Have had the shower wall fixed and the water leak sorted out. No issues with the wooden floor getting damaged with the leak. Jayco would not replace the hard lids as they responded with "they all crack and is acceptable" . It was like it on delivery or cracked on the 20 Klm trip on a bitumen hwy .did not notice it until it was at home after reading about the cracks on this forum. The cracks are slowly getting larger so will take it back in before the warranty expires ,also just noticed the spare tyre is a different tread patern to the four tyre on the van. Will call jayco tomorrow to see if they will swap it , must have got one built from what ever was laying around. Rant over feel better now.

Modifications starting first I replaced the standard speakers with a set of pioneer speakers ,a lot better sound in the expanda now.
Second was a rear bumper though I am going to lift it a bit higher , some pics of the first prototype .

Hi Brett,

Mate I'm new to this forum but not new to caravans and it looks as though your missing a little red locking clip on the back end of the hose connection, this prevents the hose from leaking and blowing off.

That rear bar is coming up well @Brettmc .

Yes I have seen Expandas at the dealers with the same cracks. Mine has them I keep an eye on them but haven't seen much change and it has been over some rough roads too. I was thinking maybe re fibreglassing over the cracks for extra strength since it looks like a design flaw to me, mine is a Dec2010 model.

Let us know how you go with yours. :thumb:

@Brettmc,

Your Mods are coming along nicely.

I am interested in how you went about folding your rear wheel on the bumper down when you open the rear bed. Starting to plan for a big trip and this is a "must have" mod as you have done. Any chance of some nice close-up pics?

Cheers,

ROnEM.

Front tool box modification , not to sure what to do wether I put the gas bottles inside like @dagree or fit in front of the box. I like the idea of putting them in front but everyone else (wife) want me to fit them inside.
