I just checked and I have a screw there too, but mine is hidden by the bottom of the vinyl wall. Looks like it is there to secure the rangehood. Mine is a little neater with no cracks.

If you were going to put a screw there, it would at least be stainless and have a nice washer that looked like it was meant to be there. I commented recently on the forum that I saw a van on display at Page's and the rooftop AC was a long way out of square. It was their only new 17 on display that was this years model. I cannot believe someone just put a screw there.

seems odd though relgate that the screw would be on top of the ceramalite and not under it?

I agree Antman However, as stated by many before me, logic does not always seem to be at the forefront of a Jayco construction :)

At least mine was nicely countersunk. A bit of white silicone and it might almost look nice....

I had to put the external shower in for the dogs, the wife did not want to wash them down in the internal shower .

Warning for others, went out for a day trip and came back to water dripping out the door , the mains tap was left on.

I had a look around and found the leak was coming from the inside of the fill point The water was under the lino so it was not picked up immediately .

Geez, that's no good Brett, will you have to pull out the Lino to get everything dry underneath?
Might have to check our connections to make sure they're all good. Never even looked!
Hope it's all OK and a quick clean up for you.

Brett - If was you I would get some commercial fan dryers onto to that wood ASAP. The same ones they use for carpet drying!

I am still confuse to we're the water came from though. The water filler pipes and breathers have no pressure so the only time they wood leak is when filling the van."Weird"

If it helps I had a similar problem with water all over my floor and those commercial fan/heaters worked great.

Hope all goes well guys!

Ah @ Cruza - that makes sense the same thing happened to one of my vans from 1 week old.
If those plastic connection are not put on properly from new you will have problems with leaks Under pressure.
Since then any of those plastic water connectors I regally check now to make sure that they haven't rattled lose.

I would think any damage would be a warranty job due to the fact the leak was from the black pipe inside the van??. I would think it would be a good idea to at least lodge a claim in case any of the wood starts to swell up or delaminate later on.
Good luck

Hoping it will be covered under warranty as its the first time it has been connected to the mains pressure , other times i have been using the onboard tanks.
