Buy the sound of it I don't think you will have a problem with claiming on that.
Jayco are usually really good with warranty claims.

Good luck and don't forget to keep everyone posted on how you go>>

Wow.... I have often wondered about the hoses inside the van and questioned if the hose really is designed for pressure.
good luck with the claim.

Warning for others, went out for a day trip and came back to water dripping out the door , the mains tap was left on.

I had a look around and found the leak was coming from the inside of the fill point The water was under the lino so it was not picked up immediately .

Ours leaked from the black inlet as well but we were lucky in ran on top of the lino and we spotted it when the floor capet tiles had a wet spot not good mate i hope it gets sorted out for you.

Yesterday we found water that Mrs CR thought was leaking from the fridge. Having read this thread the night before I went into the cupboard and sure enough, the mains line was dripping, thankfully not as bad as Brettmc. I found the nut was only finger tight. Removed it and put plumbers tape on the thread and tightened properly. No more leak. :amen:

Be honest I never liked those plastic water connectors but everything is made to a price now which is far enough.

I don't no about every one here but I always keep an eye out for my water connection leaking now.:nerd:

We had the same problem recently and that was after it went in to Jayco to be fixed. My next job is to put plumbers tape on and hope no more leaks. Ours leaked over the Lino luckily.

That's a real shame, I'll be checking mine also. I have no doubt that the plastic pipes can handle the pressure being a heavy wall thickness pipe providing the threaded connections are done up properly and probably with thread tape. I also have no doubt Brettmc that Jayco will fix it for you, if it were me I'd want the lino taken out, dry out then replace lino, problem is that means a total dismantle. Let us know how you go mate!

We also have the 17.56-2 and have also had a water leak from the bathroom where the silicon around the toilet and the inside wall was only a very thin application and it had not sealed, hence the water from showers had run down the inside of the wall, along the lino and out into the main van area. This is now a warranty job...

The other concern I have always had is that if the water inlets (mains or tank fillers) leak, as all the electrics are in the same place (under the dinette seat), then there is a chance of major electrical damage to batteries, inverters, Setek, etc.

Will certainly be adding tape and tighten the nut and add to the regular maintenance programme!

Thanks for the heads-up!

Cheers,

Rohan

Until i have a bit of confidence in the repair this will be staying here and monitored frequently

icecreamcontainer_zpsde54844e.jpg

One morning I woke up I thought my van sprung the dreaded water inlet leak and water pooling around all the electrics under seak - I put a container under it but the next day I found no water in the container but still a heap of water on the lino running out from under the bench seat... it was raining moderatly to heavy at the time...

I found my van was leaking around the whole wall plate - water flows right through between the checker plate and plastic lip on the outside with the garden hose applied - Nothing a bit of sika won't fix but a pain in the @r$e finding out the hard way.

Yep, I think the mains connection would be best done outside the van (maybe on chassis with brass fittings) and then enter with a pipe, just eliminates another possible leak from fittings....a mod I've thought of doing!

Probably a great mod for reclaiming some space too.

Yep, same here. Took me a little while to work it out. I've taped the outside and waiting for warranty visit to fix it

Thats what I have done Brad. I never liked how the hose was connected to those plastic fittings. I have used brass fittings and copper. I still would like to replace the plastic limiting valve, thats a job for later. i have also put a quarter turn valve on it. I relocated it to the rear side of the van. I reclocated mine because I removed the whole water connection housing and put my shower there.

You will have to post some pics of what you did. I hate the way those clear hoses impose so much into the under seating space.
