What was your anode like last time??Nice work there Bill, HHHHMMMM me thinks it might be time for me to replace my anode again, Only done it once and the vans almost 3 yrs old with fairly regular use
Yes - great when not raining - then I have to retreat inside the garages!LOVE THE OPEN AIR WORKSHOP BILL.GREAT ONE. PACE.
Very neat again Bill, what type of latch are you using on the drawer?
What was your anode like last time??
Messy day?Spent a fruitful day the other day - sealed hinges on hard lids - yes we were starting to get water pooling on top of the bed canvas at both ends.
Also sealed around water heater - mentioned by others in another thread...
As well looked at hatch where toilet cassette slides in - Jayco don't bother sealing this opening either (at least on our van) - so out came the Sikaflex once more.....
Re siliconed areas in the shower - where side wall meets base and around toilet......
Shower curtain to stop toilet getting wet when showering - again idea from another forum member - many have done this.....
Crawled underneath and applied more Sikaflex where necessary......
Water filter installed.....leaked when first turned on - one of the O rings had become misaligned.......all good now......
Haven't had time to install pressure vent yet.......
Not too bad - I am finally learning how to apply silicone etc without totally siliconing myself!Messy day?
Hi Burnsy - I used Sikaflex Pro polyurethane sealant and yes it should stop water getting into van - when I changed the anode a small amount did get in - this was before I sealed the gap....Nice work Bill. What did you use to seal in the hot water compartment with and will it stop water from coming inside when changing anode?
Cheers.
Great work mate. Looks awesome. I had my anode out over the weekend so inspect. Have replacement one to put in so will have to see if mine leaks...
What did you actually use to seal the bed end lid?
Cheers
