thanks for your help
Mark thats a nice setup, looks like you have settled in. I have a Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller so that bit is sorted and also a 215l compressor fridge so the vents shouldnt be a problem.
bigman if you could have a look for me that would be great.
If any of you have any tips for me about basestations in general im all ears, Iv never owned a caravan so I have no idea about everthing.
Thanks

got the hitch in the mail yesterday, the ball mount weighs a ton. Between the hitches anti sway and the vans ESC it should be a safe unit.

I see you got the Anderson Hitch, that is the one that we are also looking for, what was the cost in Ausi Dollars?
I'm thinking of buying one, getting it delivered to Jayco and then loading in the van as we can't get then in NZ yet

Another step closer, turned out we made 27 changes. While we didnt get 100% what we wanted we got pretty close.

Hitch cost me $800, looks good cant tell you how it goes yet, cant even compare it to anything as this will be my first use of a load hitch. I likes the look of there levelers, would buy them but have another brand already.
Thank for the offer Colin&Sue, appreciate it. Hopefully all I have to do is setup the hitch, fit the clearview mirrors, chuck in the batteries and the diesel heater and were good to go, misses wants to go into melbourne for some shopping so It is going to be flat out for 3 days till we leave for tassie.

No going to leave the door the same. Thought about changing it but was worried that if I stack boxes or fishing rods down between the beds I may not be able to open the door. Also I have 2 robes in the back so the bike wheels may have to point inwards towards the door stopping me from opening it again. Will let you know though, may turn out to be the worst thing we didnt do :)

that sounds fantastic Shane, bet you are very excited, what was the floor that you ordered as we ordered the boston flooring and we were told at the last minute that Jayco was having problems and they were replacing it with a different one, I asked if i could see the new pattern but they said no as there was only one choice.

Shane when we ordered the Starcraft we were keen not to have bamboo again. But were told floor choice was no longer and they were only doing bamboo in poptops? No idea if this is across the board. But changing afterwards is not an option IMO

Hmmm......very interesting as we have also ordered the Boston as we had the bamboo in the swan and really liked the look of the other flooring. Will be keen to see what's in it when we pick it up in around 5 weeks time. o_O
