Still raining on the Gold Coast. Went to the caravan show this morning, had about an hour or so to wander in the open to look at vans then the rain started again. The ground was too soggy to walk on between vans and even though matting and plastic was spread around, water just squelched up through it. Vans were in a terrible mess inside with water and mud all through them. Apparently the show was cancelled yesterday, one of the salesmen told me they were told to go home about 9:30 and the the place was closed down (it rained all day yesterday, my gauge showed 102mm for 24 hours).

I asked the Jayco rep about the new Jayco Sport and he'd never heard of it and said there was no such thing.

Geez mate. I've just had to water the garden here.
Maybe the Sport is only for down South...maybe there's a version with pontoons and an outboard bracket on the rear bumper on the drawing board for you folks in Waterworld. Hope you get some sunshine soon.

Thinking of setting up a 'Panda Park for you all to come South to dry out. We're looking at another week of "Queensland" temperatures (in the 30's). Bit of sunburn today and SWMBO has turned a deeper shade of tan after a few hours gardening.

Hey ChartRock, we went down for a look too. Should have checked to see if anyone was going. Not bad to see some of the other vans there and I was ok until I had a mud stuck thong flick up and wet my back... :rain:

At least it was a good time to see the vans in action. All the sales people assured us they haven't had any troubles with the weather although some of the sales people looked like they wanted to go home...

Bit disappointed in Jayco though, they didn't have much on offer to view. Didn't even have any of the Expanda pop tops there...

Sorry Antman, tongue was firmly in cheek when I thanked you!
I've got two waterlogged grand-daughters in Brisbane who are starting to fade!

Well book us into your panda park XF, we are sick of the rain...I haven't mowed for two weeks, lost one of the boys in the front lawn today, eventually he found his way home for dinner :)

hahaha... maybe its just because theres more southerners up here now as they wanted to move to the "Sunshine State" that they brought all the wet with them...?

I agree ants, I think the're creating climate change up here...it's not global warming, it's the Victorians! :rain:

:director:8 Days over 30 forcast here for the next week and a bit
Yeah CD we're also really doing it tough.
Price of sunscreen has doubled out my way and the CDW (crisp dry white) supply is running low. At least will be able to get the Expanda off the front lawn on Thursday morning without leaving ruts.

Jealous. :ambivalence: But today first day for some time with no rain since about 4:00am . Surprise birthday celebration for Mrs CR with sister, brother & sister-in-law up from Sydney plus friends and neighbours. Great day, scored a few brownie points. :bounce:
