After owning our LC200 for a few months and having done over 8600k and most of that towing our single axel Kedron at 2.5t ATM and tow ball weight ~220Kg. We have upgraded our GX suspension and fitted Firestone Airbags. When towing we run the Air Bags at about 12 psi and do not use a WDH. We used a WDH with our NW Pajero for several years, which also had modified suspension and air bags. The Kedron is fitted with an auto McHitch. The MY16 LC200 comes with Trailer Sway Control (TSC) and the van is fitted with Dexter Sway Control (DSC).

The van sits very close to level when hitched up, with just a few mm (~10 -20m) down at tow hitch of van as advised by Kedron. It tows behind the LC200 with no WDH very well and is very stable on a wide variety surfaces up to 100kph (and beyond if rarely required in emergency). We still have the WDH from the Pajero (also fitted with a McHitch) and we have now decided we do not need a WDH when towing our van behind the LC200.
