After having our expanda for 3 months now, we had our first 'free' camp over the weekend along with a bunch of friends, various types of tents and swags and a bunch of dirt bikes. The van performed to perfection, the fridge had it's first run on gas and ran great, the solar panel kept the batteries charged up and on Saturday night we had standing room only as a mob of us watched some of the Olympics on the tellie. Having the tellie was great, not what we would normally do when camping but when it's fire ban season it was the perfect evening entertainment. We are so pleased with the van and one of the best parts is that finally we weren't the last ones left packing up like in the 'old' days when we camped with the trailer tent!!

My son and I went on a road trip to pick up our (new for us) Expanda from Mildura. Its a 2012 18.57-5. Wife had to stay home to coach her netball team and other carry out kids sporting duties. Think we did around 1300 kms. Its the one in my avatar.

We stayed overnight in it, had takeaway, a couple beers for me and a watched a movie in it then headed off in the morning.

Cheers Geoff

We are very happy with it. it hasnt had a lot of use and the previous owner looked after it like we looked after our 16. We really liked the 57.5 and they dont come up for sale a lot so everything fell into place and we picked up this one.

No 17triton, no river but it is a lovely private property in the Barossa Valley which has lots of big trees and a wet weather creek. It's the perfect setting for our bunch of two wheeled dirt demons (boys and girls ranging in age from about 7 to 55) and a fantastic spot for winter campouts when we can have a big camp fire.:flame:

Sounds interesting, where were you?

Just to Clarence Town - would usually head more out Barrington way but Clarence Town is nice and close when you only have a couple of days. Also considered Myall River Bush Camp - have you been there?

No I haven't mate, I like the sound of Clarence Town though! I'm keen for some winter free camps with fire :)

Hi members, love the forum, what did I do on the weekend? I was trying to start a thread or a conversation to put on the forum but for some unknown reason I can only reply to other threads.
I am starting to pull my hair out as I cannot work out whats happening. Or what am I doing wrong. Please could I have some help, in adding to the forum, before I give up. Have wasted a lot of hours, please help.
Rhonda.

Yes I did see that just when I read your post. So I went back in and somehow did get our camping adventures up and posted. Not sure why this hasn't worked before now, I'd somehow have threads written up with photo, but couldn't see any way of getting them posted on. Thanks for your help, will have to see what I've been doing wrong.
