And I thought you'd settled down to quiet anticipation.... I hope you've got lots planned for the weekend to keep you busy.

After Monday, you'll be very busy!

:cheer2::cheer2: ....that's all the cheerleaders that were left.

Make sure you shut everything down so you don't have a flat battery on Monday morning......Have battery jumper handy, 3 x cans of Slime for punctures, speed limiter on throttle actually might be an idea to go to the joint on Sunday and camp out just to make sure...........................

Exciting isn't it..........................:becky:....:couch2:......................:pop2:

And, of course, your checklist. The revised, revised version, that is.

Seriously, just make sure everything works and if you're not sure of something .....ask and try not to be rushed.

Don't forget the camera.

anticlimax guys...
went to do handover yesterday, van looked ok, not perfectly detailed but acceptable. as we were going through it, we found an issue with the lighting/jhub control, the handover guy tried to say my model didn't have lights control... i assured him he was incorrect! this turned into waiting 3 hours and people running around trying to fix it then they removed a wire and everything worked and said are you happy to take it and i nicely said no. i said if you went to pick up your new car and it wouldn't start, then they undid some wires and it started would you drive away?

needless to say i didn't bring it home, i got a call late yesterday that they "found the problem" and "fixed it". the handover manager and the sales manager have called me today apologizing...

not happy Jan.

Bummer....I want my cheerleaders back.

Best to do it that way. If you're iffy about an issue, you need to be sure it's right and the dealer needs to know as well. No point in taking it home just to find it happens again.

It's a pain to have to take a van back!

Near enough is not good enough.

Next exciting appointment sorted out yet? I guess there won't be countdown this time.

:(

Damn but don't take it unless you are fully happy with the situation as Dobbie said, far easier to get things fixed while it's in their yard and you can drop the new lemon laws on them when desperate...............Hope it clears up quickly and then you never have to return...don't forget to check the wheel nuts before you leave..............

O:clap2::cheer2::cold::cocksure::cheer2::hurt-41:

:yield:

They're there to cheer you up!

I think I need some as well......we're having a serious discussion with our dealer about an item which we're not happy with....took delivery after an item was fitted wrongly, told them we'd reserve judgment till we tried it and have decided we want it changed. It's the orientation of the stove and sink in the External kitchen. ..not non functional but not what we wanted or ordered.

Unfortunately, so far the discussion is one way

:violin:

So...you're not the only one with this gripe.

Way to go @Ssil2000, it not only forces them to sort out the particular problem but lets the dealer know you are not to be stuffed around, and they need to get their act together and ensure the van is right. :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

no good news mate, but, as others have said
the dealer now knows not to pi$$ in your pocket, and to get everything right

maybe take a finer toothed comb with you next time, and really really make them worry

no - its not good, and I do feel for you

but dont let THEM tell you its right, and to take it, make sure YOUR happy with it

This is just wrong. I wish they would treat it as if they were buying it and then maybe the service and quality would be different.
It would be what we the consumer want and expect when purchasing a new van.

Excellant, then time to start a new thread, no rush.............50 pics by Thursday will be fine and a trip report the following Wednesday should sort it all out, then as you sit by a lake you can type out the battle with the trogladites you had.........................

IMG_7200-.jpg

she fits! that was a relief!

IMG_7319.JPG

installed rearview camera all cables hideaway when not in use... very happy and needless to say its so nice working under the outback so much room :)

IMG_7305.JPG

realised my jhub wasn't showing the ambient temp and thought maybe they forgot to install the temp diode then when i was working on something i noticed the diode sticking out so i then chased the wire (pain in the rear end had to remove the batteries to get there)....
IMG_7298.JPG

and found out... jayco wired it to the slide out function... still looking for the slide out wall in my van :drum:

IMG_7302.JPG

obviously i fixed it and temperature is working.. yay! (not something i should need to be doing on a brand new van)

IMG_7339.JPG

installed table to read bed also installed storm covers added a couple of hooks to keep it neat, just need to add press 2 press studs to bed end to really tidy them up
IMG_7340.JPG

same to front

IMG_7341.JPG

If thats all you have to do race out and by a Lotto ticket, your on a roll.......................Lol,lol,lol....

Looking good for sure, just make sure if your putting anything under the beds that they don't chaff your screens when all folded up. (table, power lead etc.)
I mounted my rear view cam in the same place at first but the reflection/sun made it annoying/useless at times so moved it.
