.......
As a side note, We also have to jacknife van in to our driveaway and have never come close hitting with toolbox also.
We found a formula to measure if the toolbox would hit the car on one of these sites. ( Don't quote me but went something like this )
Measure distance between centre of van hitch and edge of van toolbox. Mesure distance between towball and back corner of car. If distance on van was less, you should not hit the car.
........

Makes perfect sense @Jeremy Johnson - same theory as why you cant lick your elbow!
(Cue mental picture of all the forum members reading this trying to lick their elbows)

Cheers, Jemmo

Just remember if you do the measure from hitch centre to outside edge of vehicle to take into account the shape of the rear of your tug for while sharp turn on flat ground is okay if the tug or van is on a slope so your backing/turning up hill then the distance can shrink and the box will bang the boot or tailgate......................no pics but trust me it happens.......
A tray back can go right over the draw bar as well and clean up the whole thing, my gas bottles have come close on the odd occasion as my Ute can swing till the draw bar hits the back wheels, well probably not as the gas bottles would jam under the tray.

Hi Brougham,
Yes it has an extended drawbar. It currently has a baby Q but a 200 will fit and I will be getting one soon. I have included you in a cinversation with a few others that has all the drawings, costs etc

Hope this helps

Hi Red. Love your toolbox set up. Very close to what I was looking to do. Any chance of seeing the drawings / dimensions? Sorry, I know this thread is from last year, but I have just started my research again.
Cheers.

I just had my tool box made and I have just fitted it to my Jayco Basestation.
the box is made from 2mm propeller plate and I had it powder coated satin black to match the rest of the outback propeller plate. The size is 1540mm wide, 600mm high and 450mm deep. It has doors on both sides and has 2 slide outs fitted, 1 for a generator and the other for the gas bottles.
