All money well spent as long as you get a good coffee in my book.

Does anyone know what sort of power use you could expect from a typlical POD style machine? I love my Sunbeam Cafe EM6910 Twin pump at home, but not sure I can be bothered with grinding, tamping etc. while camping usingthe Bellboy
Im thinking an inverter might do the trick if the POD style machine power requirements are not too excessive.

Hi Soaring mine says 950w on the bottom it's a Cafitaly brand pod machine

Cheers @Capt. Gadget I just picked up the Safeway POD machine. I think it's the same one as you. What a bargain for $49.95! its 950w for the machine, and 450w for the milk frother.
So from @ROnEM post above, I take it a 1500w (3000w) peak inverter will do the job comfortably.
This has now become my No. 1 mod to do. We had a quick first shakedown trip on the weekend, and the instant coffee will not be making a second trip!

Found cool shop by accident today. The Good Store in Yarraville, Vic (also in Victoria Park, WA) was nearly as much fun as a caravan accessories shop.
This $179 coffee machine sparked my interest. No electricity required at all, just get the wife to add the coffee, hot water and pump it up (not sure of order). Then you press button for perfect double shot including crema. See the website for details - www.thegoodstore.com.au.
