Looks good @Smergen .. Finished a similar job today. Dug out approximately 60sqm of lawn out the front and paved the area to park the boat on. Now have the same next job as you....... Landscaping, building up/leveling the lawn next to it and a tidy up!

Good job, you'll be right with the rain, on a good note the wetter and longer it takes to cure the stronger it will be!

They didn't muck around looks like the boxing off and control joints in already?

Yep... they were really good. Started off at 7.30 with the Bobcat, poured and smoothed, took a few breaks waited and then put in the boxing and control points before we shared a few cans of @17triton's favourites. Really nice guys and they've offered to come back and do a bit more out on the cross over to tidy it up if I pay for the materials and cans again... :)

Here's a couple of shots from this morning

Since parents started asking their kids what do you want for dinner, what do you want to wear today or what do you want to do today. :p

Ha ha... that's hilarious... nope, in our house it's like this...
  1. "You get what you are given"
  2. "Wear what you like, but just be ready in 5min, or you'll be wearing what I grab"
  3. "We're doing 'insert activity'. Sounds like fun?"

Gadgets updates...
1. Ironwood fridge thermometer as found here in @Drover's thread http://www.expandasdownunder.com/threads/fridge-thermometer.6113/ Works a treat. Our fridge is set at 5deg, it's currently reading 5.1deg... Should work more than adequately work for the van. I love it has the ambient temperature...
2. A Weber Q!! The In-laws said we could buy one for Xmas (if we see the coin I'll be surprised) so went and picked up a brand spanking new Q2200 today with some trays, and covers and brushes and stuff... :) So now... off to the Weber threads... Anyone want to point the way to handy links and resources?

Our new Weber getting a couple of test runs before it's maiden roast tomorrow with friends. It's a nice bit of kit indeed, but need to sort out a hot plate. I read on here people who just use Teflon sheets... @jacbaz @17triton was this you? If so, do you just put it over the grill?

Going to give bread and pizza a go next week also...

Slab update... it's turned white as expected. Been two weeks tomorrow and I've finished the edging with the recycled garden sleepers. Need to put some fill in for the grass to grow into. We are hopefully taking the van away next weekend for MOPAR Nationals so I won't bother moving the van this weekend and give it another week before throwing 2t on it.

The van looks tiny from this angle, but I think it's more the perspective. It is a fair chunk wider and will have room to move, but really won't know exact position and angles until we put it there. Also planning on a shade sail structure for it, so I'll be on the look out for that...

Can't beat pizza in the weber mate. I recommend that you make your own pizza dough for best results.
We usually start with a garlic/cheese/sweet chilli pizza for entree then whatever we feel like after. This includes dessert pizza like raspberry/white chocolate or marshmallow/caramel/chocolate. Wife tends to like the Aussie pizza while I love olives, mushrooms and feta on mine.

Can't beat a weber pizza..... Think one might be on the cards for tomorrow night after we set the van up for the week :)
Those steaks look like they could do with another minute or two for me @Smergen :hungry:

We use a Teflon sheet for marinades and bacon and eggs, for a roast we use the aluminium convection trays under a wire rack to lift the meat off the grill plate. Hope this helps mate.

Another minute ... ? I can't see any blood !!! They're over cooked already. I don't eat thongs; you should stick to the pizzas :pizza:.

Can get a full or half hot plate, have and use both a lot both at home and when vanning!
Get them at BBQs Galore, maybe even the Big Green Shed and most BBQ outlets.
A must have!
