All went well thanks everyone. Been busy sorting a few things out in the van. Hubby started already on mods. Didn't take him to long did it? USB charging points going in and moving 2nd battery into same seat as other one. Otherwise I think we are pretty happy.
Now to see if it will let me upload a pic from my phone.
As @dagree always says it didn't happen unless there is proof! image.jpgimage.jpg

OH.... @JOBSWAN has exited the van ;)
Same bay we picked ours up from.... Must be an expanda thing!
Hubby sounds as bad as I was on the day. Home and within 15 minutes had it setup for annex measuring and then fitted @crustt 's clear windows.

Can imagine how you're feeling... Now get it out and get it dirty LOL

congrats @JOBSWAN . BTW Love the mirrors.... Let me know how hubby goes relocating the second battery. No idea why Jayco would take up space under each seat when I think they can be squeezed into one and get more weight over the wheels.

Sorry smirke forgot about yours I bet its like when you were a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive , it will fly by
The price you pay for going to pick it up instead of having it delivered. ( I think I'm more excited about finishing work earlier!)

Well haven't posted for a bit and thought it was time.
So hubby moved both the batteries under the rear bed and also fitted an inverter near the rear bed.
USB charging points added to the top bunk area and one to the cupboard where the 12 volt point is, and a stereo and speakers. image.jpgView attachment 30366
Our first trip away was to Logue Brook Dam Waroona off the grid and was just lovely.image.jpgimage.jpg

Trip number 2 was Bunbury Koombana Bay caravan park then after Christmas was Denmark and Cheynes Beach.
Lots of fun was had by all. Van worked a treat besides the kitchen window getting stuck open.
Now just trying to figure out where and when our next trip

Hubbie's been busy @JOBSWAN .... Also working on next trip once the annual leave days build up again!

Looking at doing a weekend trip down your way soon if daughters partner can get a weekend off and tow the boat for me.

Fitting a reverse camera to ours tomorrow and looking at the stereo install next. Where did you fit the stereo unit out of interest? Thinking about seeing if one will fit above the fridge but want to run the fridge for a while and check temps before I do it (room permitting)

Hi @dagree we fitted the stereo to the cupboard on the right just as you walk in the door.
We thought it would be handy there, easy to access. Hubby also put speakers on the outside of the van. Will try and get pictures sometime.
We had planned to head south next weekend but hubby caught up up at work and now won't be home till Sunday night or Monday :(
If you guys head down this way let us know would love to try meet up.
Not sure where you will be staying but my parents stayed at Miami village caravan park a few weekends ago and it was lovely down there.

That location was another option for the stereo..... Pics of outside speakers would be appreciated.
Have stayed at Mandurah Caravan & Tourist Park a couple of times... Nice park and friendly workers but just a bit far from decent boat ramps and facilities.

Used to stay at Miami as a youngster many moons ago with a friends family. Thought they closed down a while ago? When we come down will either be Miami or Dawseville. But Miami sounds the best option now that Cobblers Tavern has been rebuilt ;)

Hi @JOBSWAN . Wondering what facilities are at Logie brook, and what's there to do. (Assuming the dam is swimable and can kayak in it) also do you need to book, and can I ask the price per night? Lots of questions I know but would like to test out our non power capabilities before we actually find we need them. (i.e. whether we need a 2nd battery)

Hi @Smirke
I think Logue Brook was $10 an adult and $5 per child. I think... Anyway it was great for our first ever trip. It was great, there are some nice shaded sites and a beautiful view of the water. You can jet ski at the the dam and kayak. Great
4 wheel driving and if the water is still flowing, there is a beautiful clear spot for the kids to sit and swim and the water is a great temperature.
No booking needed. There is also a caravan park as you first come in and you are able to use there dump point. There are 3 pictures above of our trip to the dam. We have 2 batteries and 2 solar panels on our van and it was more than enough power. We have a generator but didn't need that. Other people had there's going but all we wanted to do was have the fridge running and charge phones, iPads etc. My boys love it out there.
hope this helps. Let's us know if you decide to head out there could always tag along if hubby is home and your up for some camping buddies.

Was thinking a trip to check it out before we head to coral bay. But then checked calendar, and it's 4 weekends and we go. The only weekend not got something on is this one coming, but that's too soon, so will have to postpone til term 2. Bugger.

:censored: But the 4 week wait will be worth it..... So jealous and green  with envy!
That's if we make it. Car went in for a service this morning, and it ain't coming out! Well, not until it gets the clutch sorted (it was slipping). Apparently you aren't meant to tow a caravan , or anything by the sounds of it, with a patrol. Or take it off road. I need a lotto win.

Just saw your other post re the Pootrol!!!!!!!
What are you supposed to do with one??????? Wrap it in cotton wool under cover for it's life?

Can't really blame the patrol as there are always "Lemons" no matter what brand and unfortunately for you it sounds like you got one of the Monday or Friday builds :o
