Marc that's is a great mod and one I might look at too. Can you advise what the whole lot cost?
Hi @achjimmy, that's Marv by the way as in Marvin the Martian.
It cost me $500. As I said in my post, I am not a carpenter and don't know one that would do it for me.
The finished result, after I made some minor mods is great. On our current half Circle of Aust ( currently in Port Macquarie) can't stop congratulating myself for doing this.
The top, after a trimming a bit became the bottom, the table itself became the top of the little cupboard.
See the photos on my blog for details of what I ended up doing. Can post more detailed photos if you wish.
Although expensive, value for the money considering the usefulness we are getting out of it.

I had to do the tri-fold table myself, not difficult at all, hardest was to get the chassis number of a van that had one and ordered one that way through the Adel Jayco dealer, took a while but IMHO, well worth doing.
See #17 in this thread.

Asked them to change the table....but nope won't change it. There reasoning was that the tri fold table isn't really strong enough they have had to many problems.
We asked for the stereo to be placed on the cupboard to the left as you walk in they won't do that either. So now not getting the stereo!

I have had no trouble with the tri-fold as I installed it. Has lasted 10,500km and 6 weeks of daily use.
Usually leave it folded up. Only fold out when we have a meal inside. No issue.
Found the existing table 'pinned' to the wall WAS weak and easily pulled away from the wall with minimal use.
The force on the trifold is vertically down on the small cupboard and this on the skirting.
No forces on the wall itself.

See no reason for their weak and incorrect reasoning.
I had to order as a flat pack and install myself. Can give precise instructions as to how I did it if and when you decide to go ahead.

not strong enough? my dinette pulled out of the wall by the time we got home and we are 20km and freeway away.

Yes we found they really where not wanting to move things.. Made sure the drifter was put where we wanted. As I heard they put things stupid places.. Seems a few now are on the kids bunk :(
Asked for spare on rear was told no.. so showed a photo of a van in SA same model with spare so they did it.
Asked to make rear trunk door bigger. could not
Can I have a hatch next to external shower under bunk. no.
Personally I was not going to pay the $ for a stereo as just got a bluetooth speaker.

Guess what........:bounce:
They said we could have the tri fold table.
But question for those that have had curtains made for there bunks. Well at least the top bunk on a 17:56. Did they(Jayco) make 2 curtains to go right around the top bunk?

Don't suppose you got a picture of that photo you showed them of the spare??? We asked and got told no also. Would love to show them one they did and get ours done by them.
Do they have the location of the electrical stuff ie control panel and stereo on the plans? As I certainly don't want the panel and stereo in the bunk area either.
That hatch your talking about. If it's under the back bed so you can access the rear boot with bed up, then we were also told no for the outside ( awning legs in the way, not sure why the other side though) so we have one inside

Oops, silly me, just realized you had a Starcraft.
Yes sorry Starcraft are many threads here where people made drop downs.
With panel it was not marked on plan, although what is on the plan can change and you will not be told.
Interesting just left leasurefest they had a old 17.58-3 next to a new 17.58-1. You notice missing overhead, missing window, missing curtain track, sink and oven swapped over and different handles on some doors.
Not sure what they will change next. If you looked today what do they say it does not come like the one your sitting in.
