Yeh... I know what you mean too I find myself shopping at Bunning at least once a week :behindsofa:

Cheers for the pictures Crusty I should hopefully be able to get the same ones from the pictures you have provided.

Looks like I am off to the big green shed tomorrow to purchase some of those towl holders and hopefully they sell the same ones over here in WA
I will keep th recipe too just incase there the wrong ones.

I just bought the same type of thing, but the acrylic shelf, in bunnings. It comes with 2 plastic disks that you stick to the wall so that the suction stays. Mine kept falling off the wall after 5mins otherwise, as the veneer, or whatever you call it, has ridges and doesn't give a tight seal.

That's what I though too @Smirke and I believe what @Crusty181 is attaching it too with give a lot better suction and hopefully the strength.

We have a toilet roll holder and a small towel ring with similar suction fittings in our combo. Both are "stuck" on the centre of the "tile" section and haven't had any issue with them falling off.

Only issue we have had is leaving the toilet roll on the holder whilst traveling...... 2,000 mtrs of white paper on the floor when we stopped

Paper towel holder, toilet roll holder, make that 4000 m on the floor, in the cupboard!
Keep a stock of rubber bands now. Only happened once! (Well maybe twice)

Hi Crusty181
How do you find the access door and kitchen window interference?
We have been looking at a 2nd hand 18.57 with the same oversight (didn't realise till reading on here) and wondering if it has much an impact? Can this window be opened much and still miss the open door?

Hi @Paul Dunstan Despite the best efforts of Jayco, its not been a major problem. With the door opened as designed, the window can only be open about an inch, but the 700mm pool noodle/ocky strap solution is magic

I was initially really peeeved at the idiotic design, but the HiViz safety noodle is low labour alternative that just became an accepted part of setup

Thanks. I might get away with a longer door stop or attach another similar length stop to the actual door with an occy strap to keep it open. Although I lothe to make cosmetic alteration hence the pool toy may be favoured ;)

Hey @Crusty181

Did you pop rivet the ocky strap holder on the door or screw it on? I am going to give it a go because I am over driving the star picket into the ground to hold the door open.

Thanks Skip

Hey @skippy, the eyelets are whats left over from the 1968 gate catch Jayco installed, similar to this
50-36121.jpeg
.... because the other thing they balls up, was put the outside TV hatch exactly where the door catch normally lives. I told them to cut off the hook because it looked cheap ..... (but leave the eyelets for the pool noodle idea)

I then used a Dometic door catch they fit to the Sivlerlines. The wall eyelet is screwed on, but the door eyelet has a weird rivet looking thing that doesnt penetrate the door ... not sure what it is actually, but i presume a blind rivet would work just as well

I have a similar attitude ... if the mod doesnt look factory or isnt an absolute necessity or game changer, i wont do it either

I am going try the blind rivet idea on the door and then with a plate on the rear for strength, hopefully it will hold.
@Crusty181 those old style of Jayco hooks are at Bunning and I was thinking of purchasing a stainless steel one to do the job.
Unfortunately it will have to wait for a couple of weeks because were off away this weekend... O yeh;)
