You forget I drive a TB48 !!!!! Around town consumption is 22 lph, freeway not towing 17 lph, towing 3T, around 25 lph, if I have a headwind this has increased to 30 lph.
as long as you can get 300Kms - you should be right

nothing over this way (except Canning Stock Route ) that has further stops............

@Crusty181 should be able to let you know average distance to fuel points, he still is not home yet

Ok been working on jerry can mounts. So I don't crowd the lights only placing two on the rear bar, the genie and fuel on the drawer bar will balance this out.

Just bought a steel lintel from the local hardware , just need to buy new bolts on Monday to finish it off

Look good @Swerve
Just a question...... Are they for water or fuel?
Reason I ask is that I heard/read somewhere that fuel can not be carried on the rear of a car, trailer or van! (Well that was for here in "Wait Awhile"!

In WA container can only be a max 25 litres. No issue stated on trailers, inside a car etc. Yes not ideal but I need the range, many of these rumours come from grey nomads who think differently.

Wasn't sure if it was accurate as currently no need to carry extra fuel.... But if the need arises I will be confirming with any regs etc as to what is and what isn't allowable!

Coming to think of it... It may have been hearsay at a caravan park ;)

Common sense also. Only fill them when I might want to use them, use them as soon as space in fuel tank.

But common note reading regs was max 250 litres petrol in all states

with the Jerry's sitting in either location (in the middle or either side of the number plate) will you still have the vision as specified to view it

I know it cannot be higher than 1300mm I think it is, but you also need to see from 45* dont you?

maybe move the number plate onto the right hand side of the bumper........????

Bigcol, my bad for not explaining properly. Number plate is being moved to onto the jerrys. Photos were spacing for 3 (just measured space for the 3rd) and two. I just felt 3 was cramping the lights, so will stay with two

Stomestomper now fitted, I had them install the sleeve for a centre support. After towing the van for service and seeing the droop on only slight corners, will be definitely putting a center support in.

Van getting 1st service today before the Perth trip, which start with a 1 week local camp with my oldies at Bundenna. So basically leaving this Friday. Crap its all starting very soon.

Well my new neighbour turned up with a 14.44-5 OB one month old as well and we have been talking.

Upon checking his expanda hoop bar his are the opposite to mine and hence decided to mod mine in the campground . Did the front and Will test close it tomorrow before doing the rear.

Well more things breaking, nothing serious but list growing.

Handles breaking, elastic door strap, window strut bottom bunk, to name a few.

Camps on the road I only drop the front bed, I sleep in a bunk with the 4 year old, wife in front with 3 month. We only lay a rubber car mat at the front door, never blows away, to heavy, I can do front bed solo with the help of a strap. So all working ok. Awning has a major rattle in it , loose sideway movement on front mounts. Hard to explain.

You're certainly getting around and seeing the country side!
Glad to hear that issues so far have only been minor ones and hoping it stays that way for the rest of the trip!

Loving the reports and pics!
