Good old sikaflex. Is there anything it cant do? Someone lost a tube off the back of a ute near the entrance to the mine out here a few years back, and it got ran over. Bloody thing stuck to the road and there was this big sikaflex lump for about a year!

Well, the mods have started. Just a couple of little ones to get myself warmed up but plenty more to come.

First off some work on the step. I've seen first hand the damage done to a lady's shin when her foot slipped off the slippery metal step and dragged down the sharp edge. Resulted in a six inch gash and plenty of stitches.
Having three little ones who always seem to have their minds on anything other than what they are doing, I thought better to be safe than sorry, so fitted some edge trims, and s rubber step cover I came across at bunnings.

Next up the shower floor.
This is an untested mod, so any feedback is welcome.
Not sure what others do, but I've laid down some foam tile on the shower floor so that the toilet can be used without having to dry the floor after each shower. A quick wipe should do it. as i said unproven do far, but I'll give it a go in a couple of weeks.

The last one for today I have unashamedly stolen from another member here. Unfortunately I can't remember who to say thanks to. The fridge sensor light. Works great!

I have also used Soaring's idea and added rubber to the step. I cut it to size and stuck it on with silicone.

Hi @Moxley23 , haven't been online for a few weeks, o/a for work.
The edge grips pretty well on its own, so no need for glue. The step, I removed and place in the step well when travelling so haven't glued that down either. I may get around to sticking it down, and would probably go with the silaflex. It seems to stick to anything.

Hi there, where did the fridge light come from? and also the step cover, where abouts in Bunnings? I have not seen them and I have a little crawler who no doubt is due to crash down the step this Christmas...
Cheers

Hi @leesy The fridge light was an idea I stole from @Pace . I found mine at Masters in the electrical section.
The step cover was from Bunnings. If you check a post on Page 1 of this thread, @Dove describes where he found it at Bunnings. The edge protector mouldings came from Clark Rubber.

With our big trip coming in a few months, I need to get my arse back into gear and get some more mods done. Today was the TV bracket.
I've seen quite a few takes in this for the 17.56. The factory won't mount a wall bracket for you, so it's either sit the TV on the bench, or work out a way to make a bracket work.

Given the limited bench space, I wanted to keep it as clear as possible so I went with a ceiling mount from eBay. Originally I was going to mount it to the underside of the cupboard over the bench, but the bracket mount was too big. I ended up mounting I under the end cupboard instead.

It can rotate around to face either the dinette, or the end bed
You do need to remove the TV prior to folding up the end bed, but most mounts recommend TV removal while travelling anyway.

Hi @Soaring, great TV bracket and install. Does this have a quick release, so you don't have to screw the TV back onto the bracket each time you remove it?

Hi @numbez , it has a quick release of sorts, but I'm modding it to make it a little more user friendly. By design it is more of a screw up and set.

I'll grab a better pic, but the plate attached to the TV hangs off two fingers on the top of bracket, plus has two screws and the bottom. I've removed these two screws, drilled through the arm and am putting a lynch pin through the drilled hold to lock the TV in place, that way to remove the TV, you just pull out the lynch pin, and lift the plate of the two fingers. (This will make more sense with photos )

Hi mate, well done on the mods. Where did you find the light in the fridge, eBay? Is it battery powered?

Cheers @Journey I can't take credit for the light. If I remember correctly this one came from @Pace. But you can get them at Bunnings/Masters. 2 AA battery powered. Actually, I'm putting another one in on the inside on the ensuite door, so when the tin kids get up in the night for a number 1, the light will go on when the door opens.
