I guess saying that if the door wasn't latched properly and you were driving along and the door happened to open, rip off and fly into the car behind causing an accident , or worse, ........must have got them thinking. And a HUGE thanks to @Flossymk1 for her great photos!

Lol @Smirke ! Pretty dramatic hahaha :p

No worries re the pics - I had the same battle trying to get my door across the line - not an easy process!

Good news. My email and the pics I sent thru did the job. They have changed it but they did cover their backsides by saying that they have no control as to what comes off the line. Oh well, I guess it will be a surprise.
They have no control what comes off their own production line ??????? ..... well doesnt that speak volumes.

Ive always believed its like dealing with the worlds largest backyard garage operation.

Just came back from caravanland.....again. Went thru someone else's 21-64 that's there waiting for them to see a few more things. Have sent an email thru listing the other things we have seen and people have mentioned on here that are worth while doing, like having the left hinged door. @Flossymk1 I think it was you who put the pic up of your list that shows the lh door??? Anyway, I took a pic of it and sent it thru to our guy so they don't tell him no when he calls them. Hope you don't mind and a huge thanks.. Also found the awning arm is 655mm away from door opening and door is 642mm wide. Plenty of room!
Also checked space between the drawbar and bottom of front bed. There is a huge difference between the on road (480mm) and OB models (660mm). So it looks like our engles can go in the box on the front, as they are 500mm high.
do you happen to have a photo of this door still? or your own so I can show my dealer too please?

Hi @formyfamily - here's a pic of the door, although as mentioned on another thread I don't think it can be done on the 20.64 as the door is now located closer to the front of the van/awning arm?

Yes, I believe you are right, there is not room to swing the door the other way on the 20.64. Ours has to swing the other way, the other downside with this, apart from the issues you have highlighted is that the kitchen window cannot be opened when the door is open as it hits, even on the lowest setting!!!!!!

Hi @formyfamily , sorry for not replying sooner. Very stressful day yesterday , so tried for a better one today (almost made it). There may be a picture of my van showing the door. Will have a look. If I can't find one on here, I'm sure there's one on my laptop. If that fails I can go and take a photo of it tomorrow for you.

Oops, should have read other posts first. I think I read somewhere that the new van can't have it either. It is something jayco know about, and I would have hoped they'd change it, or the window to solve the problem. Shame.

I was talking to a mate of mine who works at Fleetwood, making the Coramal & Windsor vans

they put sliding windows in, if the door is anywhere near the window

fancy that hey..................

I wonder why Jayco have never thought of this ..................
