Just came back from caravanland.....again. Went thru someone else's 21-64 that's there waiting for them to see a few more things. Have sent an email thru listing the other things we have seen and people have mentioned on here that are worth while doing, like having the left hinged door. @Flossymk1 I think it was you who put the pic up of your list that shows the lh door??? Anyway, I took a pic of it and sent it thru to our guy so they don't tell him no when he calls them. Hope you don't mind and a huge thanks.. Also found the awning arm is 655mm away from door opening and door is 642mm wide. Plenty of room!
Also checked space between the drawbar and bottom of front bed. There is a huge difference between the on road (480mm) and OB models (660mm). So it looks like our engles can go in the box on the front, as they are 500mm high.

got our plans sent thru Thursday arvo.
Anyway, this is our van. 8 weeks till we go to get it, but will be finished on 19/11. (found one guy not to deal with at caravanland...... a grumpy bum for sure. Ken's the man to deal with!!!)

Lol..love the part about the grumpy bum...Curious to know who that is?? as our sales consultant has now left. We only found out as we gave caravanland a call for them to tell us "oh he has left". Wow thanks for letting us know.
We delt with Ken when we purchased our Swan and had started dealing with him for the Expanda just before he was due to go on holidays. We were handed over to this other guy. Be curious to find out if Ken does our handover.

Be happy to let you know. Hope Ken does your handover. Give him a call or email. Or better yet, see him at the 4x4 show :clap2:. It made us feel very happy when we asked a young guy a question......which he couldn't answer, so we said we'd wait and ask Ken. He came back with.... " if Ken doesn't know, then no one here does".

Still waiting for a reply for moving the hws back. Our guy is trying to get the battery moved to under the lounge area as well, just in case they say no so it gives us a little more room. ( unsure as to whether I want it there though, as harder to run wires for fridge......another addition I suppose, add some to the boot area).Tried to get the micro/Rangehood set up like they have in the Starcraft, but he said they wouldn't as its a Starcraft thing. Shame, as it has a more complete finish about it. And is same dimensions as the micro cupboard in the expanda. Oh well.

our old swan never had a hws so we don't know about the noise or anything. Our dealer rep has already emailed jayco about it so we got to wait for a reply on monday. Am seriously thinking about the lh door like you got. we are going back in this arvo to check it out.
Our HWS is under the seat next to the bed (14.44-5OB). It's not the HWS that's noisy, it's the water pump but considering its only turned on when no Ext water (or when we have to flush the toilet) no real issue. 2-3 secs of pump noise when you flush is quite tolerable

Where's your fridge? Couldn't see it on the plan. Under the uWave? What size and type? If it is on the Off side, your should have no trouble with an annex then!

Fridge is under the micro, however they put the wrong one in @Marv_mart . We are getting the rm4601 so the micro is by the door.
Heard today that hws must go in boot to comply with new reg......bummer, but our guy is trying to move the battery to under the lounge behind that fuse box thing. (Can't remember the name for it, Brain has switched off for the day).

Just a thought can you get a hot water on demand system for a caravan we built a new house and put in instant gas system with temp control panel and only use 1 bottle a year $99 for hot water beats a storage tank. and saves water.
just a thought,

shiraz.

Saw one of those, on here and in a mag. Thought about it, and I reckon it's a great idea. But decided not to. Plus, we'd have to bolt it on somehow so no one took off with it.

Storage hot water is like boiling the kettle all day for 2 cups of coffee! It is just old fashioned.

OK, I am officially P@##*@ at Jayco!
Asked for a LHS hinged door, and they came back no because they want to keep things simple because its near the end of the year.
NOT HAPPY!
Just sent Jayco HQ an email and will call them tomorrow.
When Im paying the same for this van as I did for my first house in 1994, then I want it the way I want it, not settle for what they want.

Any ideas???

Can't, we are driving to melbourne to pick it up. Had to take a week off work.....without pay ......to get it. Leaving on the 13th dec and pretty much doing half of Oz while we are at it ( well the outside half any way) giving them a call at 8.30am their time tomorrow . Hopefully I can convince them to do it. I mean, we are paying for it!

Just been on the phone with Jayco HQ. Talk about no customer service at all! Got told..."we don't talk to the general public" by one woman. I know they build them, but if they are doing our handover with us, then they can damn we'll talk to me! Am totally annoyed by this.
Sent off another email showing them that they have done the door the other way. Deep down, I know we won't get anywhere with it in the end, but I'm certainly going to be a pain in their butt about it.
Rant over..... For now.
Hopefully my clearviews are going to be fixed when I get my car back.
