got our plans sent thru Thursday arvo. Found a few things missing, like our ESC . One thing we saw was that they moved the hws to the front boot and deleted the other acces panel. Not happy about that, and are awaiting their reasoning for it. Another new van (20-63 also on order) had the same. Have asked for it to put back into the bottom of that robe area.
Also, anyone with the 21-64 with the dinette bunks, can I ask if you have privacy curtains? I know they have them on the bunk edition, but they don't seem to be on ours. We have asked for the top track, but didn't for the bottom as we will get some of that wire stuff. As we can see that a track may be in the way.
Anyway, this is our van. 8 weeks till we go to get it, but will be finished on 19/11. (found one guy not to deal with at caravanland...... a grumpy bum for sure. Ken's the man to deal with!!!)

Seems a funny spot for the hws under a bed. I would miss the tunnel boot space. Would it change the ball weight?

Apparently our guy at jayco said it has always been in the robe, and our van and the other 20 he has on order are the first 2 that have it in the boot. The 20 also has a slide out, so we can't see any reason for the move, other than cost factor, as it means they don't put an access hatch on that side. Not sure where the pump is, I assume it would be with the unit. But good call on the noise. Didn't even think of that when we were talking about it. Something I will tell our guy about so he can add it to his list of "why we don't want it there".
No, we didn't forget the shower.........its right down the back at the corner. Blink and you miss it! Reason for deleting the ensuite is that we have 4 boys, and the younger 2 can't aim to save their life. Plus, the smell would be terrible (Boys stink.....sorry male people out there) and my boys LOVE their showers. There'd be no hot water left. (You can never have enough storage.)

Hubby is happy I said he can have a kung fu panda sticker on it, so he's busy buying one on the net ready to put on the van the minute we get it. So if you see an expanda with a panda on it you know its us!

We pick up our new 20.63-1 next weekend, and I just noticed the HWS where the access hatch should be as well! Not very happy about it - will make it painful to get things in and out of the tunnel boot....

Previous 20's definitely have the access hatch there, with the HWS system below the pantry, so it must be a new thing - now I'm worried about the noise factor too - I never really noticed the HWS being loud in our 17, but still...

our old swan never had a hws so we don't know about the noise or anything. Our dealer rep has already emailed jayco about it so we got to wait for a reply on monday. Am seriously thinking about the lh door like you got. we are going back in this arvo to check it out.

I'm a bit of a dope this arvo - just realised you are also ordering a brand new van so my whole spiel about measuring the door carefully was a bit stupid lol (I blame 150 Lashes - mmmmm) :very_drunk:

We did measure another 20.63 of course to make sure there was enough room for it to swing to the left, as Jayco H/O kept saying it wouldn't fit.. We had to really push to get it over the line, but our dealer was very helpful in this regard thankfully :)

I am very happy with the door - not being able to fully open one of the major windows on the van would have bugged me every time we went away in it...

I know what you mean. I didn't think it would, but after reading a few others saying its one thing they would have changed, makes me think we need to do something about it now.
One thing I am surprised about is the width we have between our new bench and the dinette/bunk area. It is wide enough for a mattress (so if theres fighting at bed time......straight to the floor the culprit will go!)

If you enough space on the left side then I would definitely recommend doing it - you also then gain more area under your awning for tables, chairs etc (I hope that makes sense!)

I'm sure there is a good reason they moved the hws. Maybe due to potential water leaks and the less likely hood of any major damage occurring with it being up the front. Bit of weight there now, maybe 40kg. Would have thought it was better over the wheels like before.

Yes save Gas and switch it off when Not using it. But it is so quite even when everyone is in bed It is barely audible. Regarding ensuite It is the best thing we got and am so glad we have it as so many free camping places now require it also plenty of places opening up with dump spots now and its easy to do. . The Boys can still pee outside behind a tree :) The best sites are the free or cheap ones so being independent is important well for us :). Without you are stuck with Caravan Parks with it you have options! And its great if anyone has to go in the middle of the night..

definitely prefer it in the cupboard. will see what Jayco have as an answer for us. Maybe we can use the extra tow ball weight as a reason why we need to have it there

Thats why we have an outside shower and we do have a portaloo if need be. But the boys always find a tree if no loo is available......they're boys!
