Thanks @Red1 We were going to get the kids beds done and figure out the adults beds latter....I like where you have put them...I'll get our new van quote updated for an extra Sirrroco on each end like yours...

With me positioning the two from the present van on cig plugs, that'll be 6 in total......

Update on Aldi 12v fans ...partial update, that is...more to come.

Visited Aldi this morning and looked at the fans....they're much larger than I expected even though the measurement were listed in their blurb.

Quality looks ok. They come with 12v plug and are rechargeable.

I'd prefer the Sirocco I think but don't want to fit them permanently; however I now don't have time to chase the Siroccos and am really concerned we're going to need the fans free camping in the next week or so...this heat wave is continuing with a vengeance.

So I'll test em out today in today's heat and lack of breeze.....and report back.

and Aldi was remarkably civilised today....and full of caravan type people buying up big. We also spotted some collapsible small containers which can replace old ones which have served us well.....then we'll be able to fit the fans in the space saved!

Cool, pardon the pun. Looking forward to your report.

Cool. They come with 12v, rechargable battery and 240v plug.

As said, largish but good. Oscillates and a bit noisy on high setting, less noisy on low setting. Very effective in moving the air around.

I'm impressed so they're staying with us and will be packed.

As compared with the Jayco ones, far better.

I reckon it'll be handy on a still warm night when you're still outside spinning yarns and have something to plonk on the end of the table to shift some air.

"spinning yarns..." "plonk".... can't half tell I've been having a gander of The Castle on the ol' goggle box.

"Mental Note" for someone not used to going to Aldi when they have caravan/camping specials.......... "Get there at opening time!!!!!"
Got there at 10:00am yesterday and all they had left was 1 empty fan box o_O, 2 sets of popup dishes and 2 LED lanterns...... Rest of the shelves were empty!

Went back today at opening time (11:00am..... Yes we do get Sunday trading here in Wait Awhile!) Still 1 empty fan box but they stocked up on TV's, LED lanterns and levelers. So of course they had nothing left that I "Needed" ;)

Aaaaaahhhhh.....You Westralians are not yet au fait with the Aldi stampede! Novices.

They've adjusted here but obviously needed to increase stock for you.

They will, but not this year.

Did I tell you the fans are really good?

8-)

Phew!

@dagree ...do you want to borrow one of my fans when you depart?

My hiring rates are cheap but the borrowing rates even cheaper.....postage or delivery might be a problem.

I'd hate to hear of you suffering just because you're an Aldi novice.

seeing we have more Aldi's then 7/11's around here, I just move to another and look for what I want.
At the local one I was getting food and watching trolleys full of camping gear.
One family had 3 trolleys full no food :)

When I am hunting something at Aldi I normally go to the suburb where I know no one will buy it.
Got the trampoline for the kids in a older area with terrace houses :)
Camping gear city store maybe.

Yes if you want something Aldi sometimes have 3-4 per store so first in gets them, one of our local stores used to put things out Friday night which was good until I think someone dobbed them in.
