we are going to Newnes for a couple of days to do some walking/hiking then off to HILL End to do some gold panning with the kids. Never know may even find a nugget and retire.

Hi we are new to the expanda world, previously owning a very old jayco swan! We have been invited by friends to newnes camping ground! Is it safe to get into with our expanda and is it possible to cross river to the other side.

Hello Lovetocamp, welcome! 1st post and all! Newnes is easy enough to get into, you will get across the culvit to the main campground, I personally wouldn't take the van across the creek to the other side and haven't seen anything other than campers on that side every time I've been there. just got back, first time back there in 30 yrs. my traveling companions crossed small creek to main camp grounds using falcon xrs 6 towing highway swan no problems but you would need 4x4 to cross to the smaller camp grounds on the opposite side of main creek, soft sandy creek bottom
