Hi Relgate
We have the 17.56.2 and went for the Gridlock/Blue I think not 100% sure but its blue and my wife is happy with it. The control panel is in the standard place and although we have only been away once the water pump has been turned on accidentally twice, so this may be an issue. we have two TV points and only went one picnic table and carry two collapsible tables. Not sure what your towing capacity is but we have hit our Max with 2540kg. There's so much more I wanted to add as well
Hi Randl007
Just to clarify, did you ask for 2 TV points or did it just come like that?

Thanks

Wow, that's heavy. We might be in trouble! I haven't got the simplicity susp so that saves a little weight.
Good point about the water pump. With 3 kids that sounds like a definate problem

Update:
Have confirmed the fabric as gridlock blue etc, laminate as Greige on tables as well.

Dealer/salesman has been great to deal with and has accomodated every request.

Will confirm annex fabric this week. Van is due off the line on 9th August, annex will be fitted and pick up is scheduled for a few weeks after.
As the dealer is only minutes away from the factory I have booked a factory tour on the 28th August.

Excited.

Hi Relgate,

We ordered the same van 17.56-2 with similar options. It just so happens that ours comes off the line in the same batch. We must keep in touch.

This is my first post, but have read the forum on and off and found it great.

The options we have fitted are as follows.
- Awning c/w annex walls
- Bed Flies both ends
- 100 amp battery
- External TV point
- Wind up antenna
- Control panel (fitted near sink)
- 150 lt Fridge
- Sparrow roof top aircon (Sounds like it is the go)
- External shower
- Extended Drawbar (try to fit kids bikes on there somehow)
- Anderson Plug to Battery c/w 6mm wire (worth considering for faster charging)
- Picnic Table

That is about it, as we were already over budget really.

Laminex Color - Amore
Seat & Cushions are the Brown Type.

One thing we did was specify the Microwave to go where the Herron AC would normally go. This I think will give us more usable cupboard space around the fridge and also be easier to access near the sink etc.

Cant wait till it comes, very excited.

The water pump switch location close to the floor is a pain in the a:censored:e!

I place a bit 1000 mile an hour tape over that switch now to stop it being "knocked".

Funny that our vans will be buddies!
Good idea getting the switch placed up near the sink. I asked for it but the dealer thought it was not possible. I knew others had done it but to be honest I wasnt that fussed. I told him as such, and he said he would 'see what he could do'. Probably a bit late now!

Other issues I have are that
1. They are only willing to fit one external gas bayonet at the factory
(see thread http://www.expandasdownunder.com/showthread.php/1200-Gas-Regulations-Change? )
Dealer has offered to put one on at the dealership, but it will effectively cost me $70 more
and
2. I asked for a rear boot door and factory has said no. Dealer also said it was not possible at their end.

Small fry.

Go for it. Two gas bayonets is highly recommended (IMO) and the factory charged me $90 for the second one - you are ahead!

Unfortunately not. I may have not been clear.
The dealer charged me $80 for the 2nd factory gas bayonet, when the factory said 'no' he came back to me and said that they could get a plumber in for $150, (said it was his cost price), so what I meant was it is costing me $70 more than at the factory!!!
I'm not sure I can really blame the dealer, it is a pretty new change from Jayco, and I'm not sure I could get my plumber to do it for much less that $150

Well.......Jayco are being a bit odd on this.

All I can say is that in the short time we have had our Expanda, I have used both front and back gas bayonets to keep out of the wind.

Hi Relgate,

Any news on a delivery date. I am having trouble getting a firm date from my dealer for ours. Considering our vans will be made in the same run I thought you may be able to shed some light. Jayco are suggesting early next month but cant confirm for sure.

Thanks

Kev.

We got front and rear bayonets added at factory and have used both. Depends on site layout and or wind direction. A good addition I reckon!

cheers

Got a call from the dealer today. The van is now at the dealer! Have booked in the handover for 3 weeks from now. They will organise the annex walls in the mean time
