Thanks to @achjimmy 's tip I picked up an Ezylevel at the show too. Really nice bit of gear. Cant wait to try it. I also met the two inventors and had a really good chat to them. A couple of retired engineers who came up with the idea around the campfire whilst doing a big lap. They tell me it is the only one of it's kind. I guess it's a pretty expensive level but I love the idea and the technology!

Also bought a new B.E.S.T. water filter.

Had a good look at the vans including the Elite, Nova and New Age and came away thoroughly convinced that my Starcraft is the right purchase!

If any one goes today and has a camera grab a shot of the 17.58.3 deal....

General deals? I can't recall there was a few bits and pieces included. What was to be our van was there for a good deal. Especially given the dealer left the ESC, extended drawbar and 16" wheels off the pricing.

Bit off topic. But what do others think of the new type of windows that now come with the vans? Seem to be a bit of an effort to open the window, have pull the flyscreen down and undo a latch on each side then put your flyscreen back up. Call me old fashion but I prefer the older style with the winding handle. I often wake up in the middle of the night and want to crack the window open, in a dozed stupor I can easily find the handle.

And the new ones look more susceptible to damage over time.
Truth by told I think I buggered one up in the New Age Big Red...opps...

@BigSkiddy I don't like them either. When open, the way to close them is to open them further and then they can close. It will be so simple for a low life to get access to the van if you leave the window open slightly as there is no way to lock the window in any position except closed.

We were looking at vans in a yard and opened a window, when we tried to close it we found it was too close to a fence and could not be pushed out any further to allow it to close. The dealer had to move the van away from the fence just to close the window. :o

I'd just like to be able to open the kitchen window and the door at the same time.

I can't believe how many vans, both Jayco and others who design their vans so the door covers a hopper window.

I'd be interested to know how many of these van designers actually go out caravanning.

They quoted me $1500 to turn my door around, but going to try Jayvo head office direct.

I think you may be in for an unpleasant surprise @relgate although I hope I am wrong. :(
Just checked my windows - as far as I can see they can't be locked in the ajar position...
I also fail to see how they can be adjusted to improve sealing against dust. We got a little bit in at the end of one window on our recent trip.

Just had another look - well you can lock them ajar by about 1/2 an inch using the catches on each vertical of the window.......
still san't see how to improve dust sealing.

So from that, Bill, I assume you can only lock them open about half an inch, any further open and they are not locked?

Not much of a fan of the new window either, I open windows for fresh air, with the new windows you either have the fly screen in place or the blind, with screen in place no privacy, with the blind in place no fresh air unless you go 50/50 with the screen, not really on issue I guess on the Panda's because you can open bed ends or roof vents in the pop-top. Some of the other manufactures are still putting curtains on the new windows for that reason, others are just putting "Dress'' curtains no closing with pelmets just to pretty them up.

I dont have my van yet, but im pretty sure you can lock the window in an ajar position

Hey Relgate do you get these new windows on your Starcraft? You don't on the poptops. I posted some time ago about them Iam not a convert, somebody who had them a while replied. The old style worked well for me.
