Yeah 2 door pillar less. 20 year dream finally came true. Now the fun begins. I have a 572 cube big block in the shed for the old girl ;)

So threw a pork roast in the weber. Some cutlet thing. Any way it turned out nice. Best crackle I've ever had. Meat was good. Some bits were a little dry towards the middle but still soft. Can't work that out. Veggies got a bit crisp but I didn't mind them. The family weren't to keen but oh well.
Hers a pic of the master piece :)

Almost at the end of a week at cotton tree caravan park.

Very happy with the park and will definetly visit again. And the Marochy river even had fish in it which was a pleasant surprise from the Broadwater.

Well
Time for an update.
Camping since Easter 0. Distance van has travelled since Easter 0. So what does one do? Sell it. Goes this Saturday to its new home. It will be sadly missed but we have upgraded. Gone a full size now with bunks and combined shower and toilet. (toilet will be screwed shut as I aint emptying it! hahaha) It’s a Crusader Family Getabout.
I hope to get some weekend trips down the coast in it next year. If not then it too will be sold and we will give away the van thing for 20 years or so lol.
As for the other money pits. Green one is still going strong. Have taken it to 4 shows and won 5 trophy’s so very very happy. She went to the drags and ran in the 10's all night and then drove home with out missing a beat so very happy :)

And the black one finally hit the road on the weekend after many....many late nights. Still a bit more to do but happy to leave it for now.
A few pics for the car enthusiasts amongst us. I guess I will have to change my thread title in a couple of weeks ;)

A for the toys I always live by its easier to ask for forgiveness than it is permission.

So. Expanda went yesterday. Very sad. But today picked up the new (new for us anyway) crusader family get about.
One thing I have found is no info what so ever on this van. Unlike jayco where you seem to be able to find an answer to any question this has nothing show up. Owners manual is pretty vague as well.

I do have a question I hope you can help with. When I towed it home I couldn't go over 80 or it would start to sway. The van was empty including the water tanks. I had it connected to the car pretty level but didn't have a huge amount of strain on the wdh bars. There doesn't seem to be much ball weight. Did it sway because there is too much weight over the rear axles ?
Most of the interior is over the back of the axles. Fridge shower and toilet plus the bunks. All that is at the front is the main bed. I guess I can try and store everything at the front but wanted to conform I am on the right track.

Obviously I didn't have this trouble in the Expanda because I had it packed from front to back. Poor thing was a bit over weight. I will won't be able to carry as much junk in this one.

G'day @Paul. I think you may be on the right track with your loading figures. Have a look at this thread with the video.

Thanks for that. It makes sense.
This afternoon i threw about 100kg of junk in the van and filled both water tanks. Went for a larrop up the highway doing 100 with out too much drama. Found what looked to be a level spot and checked the hitch for level and it was slightly high. So i lowered the hitch one bolt hole. I then put one extra link on the wdh so not much weight on it as it dosnt seem to need it. Did 100 again but just over that when i hit a bump i got a slight away. Nothing like what was happening today so must be on the right track. My concern is there isnt enough weight on the ball. I can lift the van up off the ball and im not overly strong. When i lower the van the tug the hitch only goes down 10mm. My old van dropped it 40-50mm the it would come up with the wdh.

Have i not got enough weight on the ball? I will weigh it tomorrow as i am too spent to do it now lol.

Glad its better, do you have a towball scale what do the plates say? Is this the model with the rear boot? Wonder if too much in the rear.
I think your correct. Plate says 110 i think.
No i was going to get a piece of timber and use the bathroom scales. If that doesn't work i can borrow one.
No rear boot. Just a front boot
It does have two empty tool boxes and the spare wheel on the rear bar . He used to have a generator in there.
It never swayed according to the origi al owner behind a 100 series but cant be 100% sure. Im spewin because my baby q will fit in it and testing it today could leave it in the when cooking as it would be a great wind break but then thats another 12kg over the rear.
Looking at it i think it has too much behind the rear axle. Like i say the 190l fridge is behind the rear axle. Not over the axle its self. I have more junk to add so once i way the ball i might put it in the front.
