Thanks Millsy, jobs done I ended up pulling out the top of the centre console and stuck my hand up behind the pocket, not much room in there but I got the job done in the end :tea:

There is a bracket behind there that the heater box is mounted to (think that's what the bracket could be for hard to see in there) to contend with but it was all good, thanks again mate.

@Millsy was that you yesterday (Saturday) near Yarck ? Going south bound?

If not you have a twin BT out there

Nah mate, we finally hit the road again on Friday, made it to just north of Narrabri by Friday night. Spent a couple of days in Benarkin with an old mate, now setup in Landsborough for a couple of days, then onto Rainbow Beach and then Hervey Bay.

Cheers

@relgate @Millsy removed his heater controls as mentioned in an above post, but when I mounted my uhf there I carefully lifted out the top of the centre console starting from the console storage end.You can just get your hand up behind the console pocket end feel where there is room to drill the hole for the wiring.

Just drill a small pilot hole to see where at but watchout for the heater box;)

Have a look in my thread for pics mate

Gday all
Newby here
Very cool fit out, I have 2012 gt bt50 as well that has few mods(Same TJM bar 8 month wait to get, Hard cover, tub liner) with more planned in the future(Tough Dog etc. etc).
I have questions in regard the problems with the body control module with extra accessories. Every since the bar and hid head lights have been fitted the traction control light has been coming on intermittently with no loose traction turn it on, this also render the diff lock, hill descent, traction control on/off button inoperative.

I have been back to the dealer and they aren't to sure whats going on, Any ideas?

Cheers

Has it been raised? My neighbour bought a GT BT50 and the dealer advised him not to raise it as it can play havoc with the computer.

Question? Why are there more BT50's on this forum compared to Rangers? Looks? Price? What?

Availability. Long wait on Rangers due to limited Australia allocation.

Plus Im sure people feel sorry for the BT because of its but ugly front!:behindsofa:

Gday maccayak
No hasn't been raised yet, the wife choose ours for interior size more than anything else.

Just seems to be heaps more BT50's on the road. Does anyone know if update models are on their way in the not too distant future. Maybe someone who works for a car manufacturer might know?

Hi Adrian, I know you have to be very careful with how things are wired up because of the canbus? system in the car. I was even worried about ours when the auto elec fitted the electric brake module. I even obtained a wiring diagram from Mazda for him because I had read on other forums about blown bcm's after accessories were fitted.
