I spent the afternoon yesterday adding some new items the van.

First item - BOS370 Stabilising Legs.

Very easy install. Remove and reuse factory bolts.
Managed to lift the wheel off the ground with no problems.
Looking forward to our September trip to test these legs out.

@Lozza T, I would not trust any type of stabilizer on uneven/sloping ground. I work out where ramp is to be positioned, back up half a meter, place ramp in front of wheel, and drive van onto ramp for leveling. As @Brente1982 said, stabilizers are not for lifting van at all.

I have had a twin thumper for a few years used it a few times on beach driveing and at eldee and in flinders ranges not bad had no issues with it
Just wondering what charging system is in the van is it projecta ??

Yes it's a modified Projecta Pm200 made for Jayco specifically that incorporates the LCD screen and Bluetooth over the standard PM200. They refer to it as pm235

Are you able to give some more details on where its from, and maybe a pic of how the gas bottles are fitted?

I have not fitted it yet. It's just sitting on the draw bar. But it is in position of where I want it.



I will leave enough room for the gas bottle cover to open and allow bottle to be lifted out.


Box weighs 18kg. It will carry my floor matting, wheel ramps and hoses. So nothing too heavy.

Hi All.
Looking at improving charging the van batteries while towing.
I have the new Projecta management system with 2x 120A lithiums. I noticed on my last trip when my batteries were down to 50% (not much sun, average Melbourne weather) I was only charging thru the tow vehicle at Max 3amps. I have the standard 12pin plug fitted that Jayco recommend. I get about 15to20 Amps charging thru solar and close to 30amps when plugged into power. But not real happy with the charge while towing.
Looking at installing a direct cable 13mm with anderson plug from the starter battery of the tug, installing 13mm cables on the draw bar of the van and wiring it to where it states vehicle battery on the Projecta.
Thoughts?

Projecta have a dcdc now that can be installed supplementary to the units.
Are you in any of the Jayco groups on Facebook?
But in saying that, if you're only getting 3amps it could be a bigger issue. What are you towing with again?

I do have a dcdc in the car which I charge a portable 120a lith in the back if the car that I could use. But I think I would still need to upgrade the cable to the van.
My tug is a GU Patrol 3.0td.
