As usual i'm busy working for a week, then return to the forum and all hell has broke loose LOL:smokin:

Just kidding, great ideas out there. Personally i think keep it to stickers and stubby holders for now and keep the design simple to keep costs down.

I love the orange and black one by andrea without the expanda drawing (not a huge fan of the Panda reference either, sorry). But i love the idea and will follow with interest.

Hi all, just wanted to give an update where we are at.

So, the feeling is if we have stickers we should redesign the banner of the site to match the stickers and the slogan of the site.

I have redesigned the banner based on the help of Andrea, bigman0510, straydingo and others in this thread so many thanks to you for getting the ideas flowing.

First a couple of points

1) We couldn't use the red / black as with the outback themed background it does not match and the colors are hard to read

2) I have used blue and white as the font colour to overcome the above, this is based on the fact that the Jayco colours by default are Blue and White and whilst expanda colours change yearly we could look to modifying the theme of the forum to match the year colours. Just a thought :)!

3) I can change the background image to something else if anyone has any thoughts behind it let me know. A good place to look is istockphoto as we can purchase the rights to the image. We need to be careful about copy right etc :).

http://www.istockphoto.com/search/text/outback road/source/basic#8c6f844

So here are the different options and with two different backgrounds.

1) Option 1

Expanda's Downunder3.jpg

2) Option 2

Expanda's Downunder4.jpg

3) Option 3 / I don't like either one go back to the drawing board

I will leave my preference out but if you could respond with what your preference is Option 1 / Option 2 / Option 3 and once we have some votes I can then change the site logo and send the text component of the banner to the sticker people and then we get stickers made.

From there we can look at everything else like stubby holders etc.

Any question, please ask!!!

Hi Guys. Great work expanda, thanks for all your effort.
I'm not sure I'm into either options 1 or 2, so option 3 for me.
I would prefer a more simple, easy to read sticker. These ones might be a bit too busy to read quickly. I actually liked the stick figure expanda (was that Andrea?)

In any case, I'll go with whatever is decided, I just prefer the less 'cluttered' look

Just to clarify, the words are all that will be found on the sticker like this....

What I want to do though is make the words and colour for the sticker match the website name and slogan as well as colour scheme minus the background image.

That way when some one sees the sticker and they go to the website it matches in colour.

Does that make sense?

out of options 1&2.....2

But really 3.

I think they are too busy. Look at the images as they display before you hover the mouse over them and they enlarge. This is effectively what people will see as they approach the van. My opinion, if they are hardish to read when small or from a 'moderate' distance, it isn't ideal. Do a google image search for 'bumper sticker' and you'll see they are commonly simple colours, lack of photo background etc. (4 colour process print is also cheaper:))

Hey straydingo, the bumper sticker will be two colours Blue and White with absolutely no images???

Is it the blue and white you are referring to that is no good????

Just to be clear again, the Option 1 and Option 2 are the banner for the website not the sticker. The banner will replace the top heading of the website.

The sticker will only be the text that is on the banner nothing else.

If that is what we are talking about apologies :)

And if it is what colors do you like so far?

yeah yeah. I'm an idiot.
Misread the post and thought the images were for bumper sticker not banner. :der:

My apologies and I withdraw all comments/objections/etc.

Option 2 is just wonderful :)

Option two works for me, I agree with Paul though, larger print would be good.

Also maybe a 17.56 on the sticker too.
