Longer wheel base makes for can make for a better tow vehicle .

i think "can make for a better tow vehicle" , lots of things other than wheelbase, are a factor for sure. Personally I think weight and track are ttwo most important factors. The dual axle SUV's in the states towing capicity junps up considerably purely for the duall wheel rear..

of course the longer wheelbase of the US SUVs is also what makes them unsuitable on our tracks especially the high country and desert. The longer wheel bases can not clear the peaks and drainage ditches.

the jeep is also shorter overall than the LC so with longer wheelbase and shorter length it must have less overhang which would be faourable for towing Too.

have you seen the size of a ranger ? If you think the landcruiser is big it just looks big

Ford Ranger Width 1850 Length 5110-5359 depending on model
Landcruiser LC200 Width 1970 Length 4990

So yes it's 12cm wider but the Ranger is a lot longer so looks can be deceiving

Finally we took delivery of a MY14 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Ordered back in late June, picked it up two weeks ago.
Great car, the CEO is still getting used to it as she is the main driver. Now the fun begins, time to go and start working out what van to buy. Is it wait for the 20.63-2 (as some has described it) or go with the current 20.63? I am sure that will be another dilemma we will have to work through. Of course the other project will be to option up the Jeep. :)
