I'll have theI totally agree with the red wine, though only need one glass, hubby is an ouzo drinker!
I managed to get my hands on one of those large Hoegaarden beer glasses.I'll have theoccasionalfrequent Molinari Extra Sambucca, just for medical reasons you understand...I always feel better after I had a glass, so won't pick on anyone who is addicted to ouzo.
Mrs XF cant stand the aniseed smell so "glass" glasses are a must. Also for our G&T's.
Stemmed wine glasses travel well in stubby holders.
That's real class, that is. Imported glass n all And plenty of room for ice.I managed to get my hands on one of those large Hoegaarden beer glasses.
they are excellent for massive G&Ts.
I am amazed at how different the gin tastes can be. If we splurge we go for the Hendricks. Yummo!! But our everyday gin at the moment is bulldog gin in the black bottle. Very nice also. That's real class, that is. Imported glass n all And plenty of room for ice.
Mrs XF likes to impress with the (Tasmania's Lark Distillery) Pepper-berry Gin bottle when out under the awning.
On our own inside its just duty free Bombay Saphire with good splash of bitters.
Variety is the spice of life. Met the bloke who grows the Pepper Berries otherwise wouldn't have discovered Lark.I am amazed at how different the gin tastes can be. If we splurge we go for the Hendricks. Yummo!! But our everyday gin at the moment is bulldog gin in the black bottle. Very nice also.

Heard once that G&T is supposed to prevent Malaria...so far it seems to be working!
Thanks where2.Don't forget different type/size fuse's for all your equipment. Van, car, fridges, air compressor's. I went free camping in March and notice on the 2nd day my Engel fridge had stopped working. It had a blown fuse in the 12v lead. I was using a genny on and off to keep battery charged and air-con use. They don't take much room or weigh much, and you probably won't need one very often... But when you need one
You've been given some great ideas so far. We also take
- portable dyson (this is a must so much easier than brooms and you can door the seats)
- pod coffee machine (ours lives in the little cupboard near the hot water system)
- caravan only toys & DVDs (means kids don't have to think about what they want to take), footballs and pumps. We were thinking of buying some collapsible scooters to live in the van boot)
- insect repellant and bug spray
- spray & wipe & shower cleaner (I find its easier to clean the van when packing up)
- collapsible bucket and caravan cleaner (this may sound silly but we did find we needed to bath our panda after a couple of long days on the road)
- spare sheets (even for the parent bed ( we learned this the hard way in our old van when our then 3 mth old sicked up on our bed at 9pm at nights
- extra pegs
- cordless drill for drop jacks
Thanks where2.
Do you buy them individually or is there a set you can purchase that would cover all the areas mentioned. We are writing down all the ideas so we can purchase as we go.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.
No prob.. Ill do that. Thanks for everyone's opinions, this site is amazing, so much info from like minded people...G'day,You can get them in kits but the are not cheap. Best to go though all your gear and triple up on them fuses
