17' Series New Jayco Bed End Covers!

All going well will have a pic for you next weekend @carpanda
phone call from nowra jayco spares and was told they will have my bed ends in early next week and she gave me a good price, maybe because I bought to her attention that these things are made by Jayco, maybe because I am the first to order there....$640 the pair supply only 2 bed end covers and 6 pieces of sail track. I'm happy with that.

I went, I saw, I BOUGHT
$450 each normally here but got the two for $800 and they're throwing in the sail track when it arrives next week.... You'd think that Jayco would include the tracks when they send the bed ends.... But NO the dealers have to request them!!!

Yep... Taken out of the box...... Bag measures 60cm x 14cm x 14cm.
Small enough for hand baggage
Yeah I left a message a few weeks ago for the local guys to call me back as the phone kept flicking to voice-gaol. Never did get a call back so rang the other day and these things are in, but the sail track is not until next week (still). Sigh.......gonna go and pick the thing up tomorrow, measure it and make sure it is the correct size for the right end just to make sure. Would hate to have to go all the way back again if it is wrong.
Beats the hell out of me why they get tracks and bed ends as two shipments. Mutually exclusive they are not.

Caravanland's reply to me yesterday was "Jayco didn't tell us we needed 'non-standard' sail track"
We ordered the jayco waterproof bed end covers. This might be a silly question sorry, but do u use them with the privacy screens or without I'm a little confused? Thanks. We don't get our van till end of August so I can't picture how it's going to be. Also do they throw in the sail track, I think I might have to call them. What does the sail track do?

The existing privacy screens can (supposedly) be left on but not needed as the new ones have mesh and clear screens fitted. Over here in Wait Awhile State (WA) the sail tracks are extra but with a bit of negotiation can be included Recommend that you do call your supplier and confirm with them.
The sail track is fitted to the outer edge of the hard lid and the bed covers have the rope sewn in along the top edge. The rope is then fed through the sail track as part of the installation. Make sense??
Won't be getting our tracks until next week so will post pics of the installation FYI when done!
