I went into the van yesterday to get something with the cover on it, and it was extremely hot in there, so much so that I got out as quickly as I could.. Now I'm worried that the heat will somehow damage the van or the electronics in it etc?? Should I have the windows cracked open or something, or is this completely normal?

Am I being paranoid? We have a coast to coast cover on it..

I've got the same cover and are also worried.
I haven't fitted my fridge monitor yet...it has the min/max feature...it would be interesting to see the max temp reached.

I have wondered about those covers....... I suppose if its sitting outside in the weather they would be good........
but what happens when you wrap a chock in tin foil and leave it outside in the sun............

sorry, but the Jury is still out on the covers for mine (also, its parked under the Patio out the back.......)

What cover do you have @Flossymk1 ? Do you store it undercover at all?

We've got a cover for ours as well, but I kind of take it as an insult that if I put a cover on it, it sort of says "hey, you're not planning on using me for a while..." which doesn't sit well at all. Hopefully with the new pad I can get a shade sail over the top...

No we don't have anywhere to put it undercover unfortunately.

Went and checked the temp in it before - it was over 40c at 11:30am! By this afternoon it would be much hotter in there..

I've left the side of the cover wound up and opened the door for today, but I can't leave it like that forever..

Ugh what to do??!!!!

Youll have a "chock" wrapped in tin foil ... and be left hungry.

@Flossymk1 I used a cover for a brief time. After removing it on a warm (not hot) day, like you guys, i found it far hotter than the ambient temp outside. I then found a massive bubble in roof fibreglass. I never used a cover again .... the bubble didn't return either. After 5 years regular washing and biannual polishing it still looked like great without a cover

I ordered a Smart Space cookware set for the van, which arrived today - and it's fantastic! When I saw the delivery person pull the box out of their van I initially thought "oh no, they've forgotten to send half the stuff..." lol

But no it was all there of course - I am amazed at just how compact it is when all packed up! Here are a couple of pics -

I can't wait to use it! Now to go into the van, ditch the crappy old pots and pans and put my lovely new set in there :)

Hi @Flossymk1, our van has a coasttocoast cover on and I worry about the heat aswell, as our van is in direct sunlight in am, and in shade in the arvo, so I have cracked windows so theyre open 5mm or so and open door on weekends.
