so they tried to side track you with an earlier delivery date hey............
would the earlier date throw out all of your plans...... travel etc???
Not at all. We booked the handover for the 17/12, as we can't get time off work ( being the end of the year and teachers........was lucky to get the last week off. Had to bribe the powers that be with cakes....... he, he.)

o_OI dunno, just doesn't look right.... The door open AND the kitchen window open, pity on such a new van. Look to help you get that new jayco feeling I know of a guy with a normal swinging door, and for a price he can swap the doors over and you can sit back and enjoy the partially obstructed view... like the rest of us

well, here is a very good picture just there above that clearly shows you CAN get the door the way you want.........

copy & paste into email to Jayco HQ and demand a logical realistic explanation of WHY they cannot do it...........

I did, but it was a side on view showing the door both open and closed, with a " so why don't you do it???" Next to it.

Also found out reason why hws is under front bed isn't because of new regs, but because it interferes with the running of the fridge. (Something about the fridge not being able to cool properly )

Theres a "Jayco caravan fridge not cooling properly even tho we've doing it that way for years" Regulation???. The skeptic in me thinks maybe thinks slightly less than credible designers are more likely the culprit. Ha

Ha. I think you sum'ed it up in your first line.

Both these statements are as mutually idiotic as the other. If you have no clue, just say so. Just a really dumb, lame shot at the "switcho chango, nothing in my hand" carnival diversion I suppose. I expect there will be a mass recall on all the vans they have previously buggered up then. (Oh stop it Crusty, you crack me up)

I suspect the real reason lies hidden somewhere is the response @Smirke got to his question. Probably closer to the truth than we know.
Good news. My email and the pics I sent thru did the job. They have changed it but they did cover their backsides by saying that they have no control as to what comes off the line. Oh well, I guess it will be a surprise.

yes I must admit that one surprised me....

where is the Leading Hand
where is the Line Supervisor
where is the Foreman
where is the QC Officer (everyone asks THAT question)

where is the - you've paid your money, now you will get what you want - Manager

yes I realise that making "Bespoke" products is hard, and expensive,
but
if you already have that style of door on OTHER Vans you manufacture, how hard id it to put one into it..........????????

If the guy hanging the door cant be trusted to read a plan/pick up the correct door ... maybe you need another door hanging guy

Back from a weekend away with @Ren77 :)

Pretty happy with the fuel economy on our Navara so far - averaged 15.8L on the way to Rollingstone, and 14.5L on the way home.

Washed the van today and put the cover on it for the first time this arvo - thanks to the great tips from @navmatt it only took about 10mins!

Now to start dreaming about the Atherton Tablelands trip in December..... :unconscious:
