How old was your anode @Pace? How bad was the anode?
Van will be 2 on Fathers Day. Also took pic of new vs old anode (with a piece that come out from the flushing of the tank).

Pace.
Rate of sacrifice depends a lot on water quality/mineralisation, and to some extent the actual anode you get. I filter Melbourne water into tanks and like Pace get a few years, others will just get 12 months. Worth checking each year as recommended, but you should be OK for two years Brad. Great idea to date the anode.Van will be 2 on Fathers Day. Also took pic of new vs old anode (with a piece that come out from the flushing of the tank).

Yeah...lucky you're don't drink it until the brewery has had a go at it.I only got 6 months!
Dodgy NSW water.
:eek-53: I hope we didn't drink all of that anode. What are they made of anyway?

SA used to be even worse.
Oh yeah... What was I thinking....Your not meant to drink the hot water Brad.
Possibly this could explain your strange behaviour of late...

Usually Magnesium for caravan HWS so very safe for normal folks (and even @Brad, I don't think any issues he's got are related to his Suburban HWS).:eek-53: I hope we didn't drink all of that anode. What are they made of anyway?
