The hose is 25mm but with the reinforcing wire the inside diameter works out to be 23 - 24mm... Just makes it a tight fit to get the poly fittings in and out (Well once in they don't come out!!!!)
That's why I'm thinking about the nut and tail/male threaded fittings!
Looks like the green Shed is going to get a few visitors, me included!

I use a 45mm square plastic cap but had to file the little lugs down to make it fit. I also have a pin that goes thru the chassis rail and cap. Hope these pictures are some help.
I also use the joiner that dagree mentioned and leave it in the section of hose that has the van joiner on. I had to file the barb down on the joiner end that goes in the second section of hose just so it's a firm fit and easy to get in and out. No real pressure on it so should not blow apart.

thought about it a few times.... but, if I move pay goes down and I wont be able to afford to buy stuff anyway, its a vicious circle!
