Hope you all are staying safe out there. We had no power last night for 6 hours so no lights or cooking (all electric at our place) almost tempted to find a flat spot to park up and stay in the van instead ;)

We made it to Port Pirie the viscount got damaged on the way from the Pound at Port Augusta on the way down.

We lost the front window shade protector about 2metres wide looked every for it but couldn't find it hopefully no one was hit by it but if anyone spots it let me know.

Can't replace that part either due to the vintage so very sad and van looks naked.

Port Pirie hasn't had power since yesterday and it's been in and out all day but seems stable now but wind has been unreal.

Port Pirie has also been on flood alert this evening we seem to be safe but just keeping an eye on things thankfully rain has eased.

All in all a great meet, great people and fun time.

Although it has been and interesting 48hrs since leaving the pound.

Finally home tonight after a massive 835km from Burra to Bacchus tonight. We were holed up in Burra all of yesterday with gale force winds forcing us to even sleep with our bend end closed for fear of it lifting the lid clear off. Rain come in sideways pretty much all day for around 36hrs, power and reception on/off... I tell you it was pretty tiring at times with the little ones. Pretty good lessons learnt though and quite the talking point to end an awesome adventure. Will do a full report later in the week once I've got some sleep and washed the van...

Glad your home safe we thought of stopping Burra although creek was rising and we had a couple of flood crossings just to get there. Saw a couple flipped cars around Burra

We got home late yesterday afternoon after driving from Renmark. We were not due home till tomorrow but with 10-20 mm of rain forecast for tomorrow we decided to get home for the grand final and start cleaning up.
We had an absolute blast of a time and made some great memories and met some more great members from the forum to go with all the ones we had already met and can't wait to do it all again.

We got home yesterday, after a couple of days in Mildura. Luckily we missed all the flooded areas - being just that day earlier leaving. We had a great time - thanks to all of you for making us feel so welcome. The trips up the gorges and the Skytrek were fantastic - and couldn't have occurred if it wasn't for all of you being so generous towards us. Looking forward to catching up again sometime in the not too distant future. :clap2::biggrin-26:

We are also home. We left Wilpena Wednesday and was going to do 2-3 night Adelaide area but looking at the storm that was coming we decided to head for Murray Bridge. We copped a lot of rain coming into Peterborough, we stopped for fuel and the rain stopped. We were on the edge of the storm most of the day when we got to Murray Bridge we decided to head for a mates place at Penola to bunker down. We had a tail wind to Murray Bridge 14l100. Then to Penola we had a hefty head wind and pushing hard at 110is km/h in 4th sucking 23l/100. Lucky for the long range tank because there was no fuel with no power until Penola. From Keith the heavy rain hit with a little lightning around. One struck 200m up the road which caused a breife intense fire. We made it to Penola in darkness, slept with the diesel heater on and the roof down.
We had a ball meeting up with new families @Andre307 @Eeram55 @expanda @coled1970 @chartrock

We made Taree by Thursday, stopping Cockburn, Cobar, Merriwa on the way, just short of 1800 Km. The only flooding was across the road at Gilgandra, not real deep but eroding the road so you had to watch for large holes.
Funeral went off well on Friday and we have had a couple of quiet days still in Taree with some of Mrs CR's family. Move on tomorrow for a few more days R & R up the north coast and home by the weekend.
For those that don't know, I got the news just before the meet that my sister had passed away. She had been ill with dementia for more than 10 years so we knew it was coming, just not when. But we stayed for the weekend just to meet everyone, but had to leave by Monday to get to Taree before Friday.
As with other meets, we met some wonderful people and renewed some previous friendships. Thank you one and all for your support and kindness and for a great time.
