You putting your name down for a sky dive @Drover

Back in 1973, I think it was, a few of us did most of the ground training of a"Jump out of a perfectly good aircraft course " in Singapore at RAF Changi, but ship got fixed a week or so early so we never got to finish it, I was 19 and looking forward to it, now at 67 not so sure but I would be game, think the gammy knee wouldn't like it now, in fact it wasn't happy about it way back then either ..................... Lessons for landing still engraved in grey cells as I have fell out/off truck a few times, performed the set up and land perfectly, even when I fell out backwards with pallet jack following... must have been perfect as no Ambo's required........
Knee, neck and shoulders just started to ache thinking about it so I think the body is saying Nope, not on fella............ must be thinking of when I fell off bench in shed............... did the correct short fall landing but it hurt more than I care to remember.

I did 5 static line jumps about 35 years ago, scared the crap out of me each time but loved the floating feeling with control
I jumped off the flight deck of Melbourne 50 yrs ago, can't recall any floating feeling until I surfaced in the harbour............... we had hoped to land in the safety nets but they were removed for maintenance, hence the swan dive..

You may recall when i was standing in your garage and I asked for a nice cup of tea. I dont drink tea, but id noticed the safe in the corner with the door ajar. Under the drugs, guns, cash, gold, diamonds and false passports that i push aside there was a manila folder labled Drovers Secret Murray Campspots ... Im ashamed to admit i looked.

I have always wondered how that $100 note came to be in my Secret Stash Place as I have never owned one, consider the site fee paid for then...... must have happened when I went into shock with you mentioning tea............................................ Might start my River run around Walwa and meanader along to a spot near Mildure ............... Corowa, Cobram/Tocumwal area, Lake Boga to revisit places , slight detour to Hopeton and some of those other great western Vic towns, along with Nhill then back up to Merbein see some mates then head for home, if Anna ever opens the gate........ and if its not till around April then its Anzac day in Boort again had a great day there............... of course thats just the roughy pencil job on the map we can and do end up anywhere.....especially as the closer I get to SA I can here some steam train whistles calling me over......... but not going there after March or before Oct too bluddy windy.

How easy is it to find these types of camp spots along the Murray? Have often thought about doing it but never sure if I would find a good camping spot.

I use Wiki Camps and Google Earth, a good read of reviews to sort out the genuine campers from the whingers and you can usually work out a good one compared to a overcrowded hole........... I have often had a lookie when driving past to check at possible spots for next trip but I always try have a back up camp in case my planned spot is no good, thats for anywhere....
