Off to Yarrawonga on the Murray Thursday til Monday. Not taking the Expanda as we've booked a house and was planning to take our boat, but it looks like it won't be fixed in time after it broke down in January....................bugga!!!

Monday night Mrs.Matty4 and I are off to Koh Samui, Thailand for 6 nights without the kids for our 20th wedding anniversary.
Honeymooned there so will be interesting to see if I remember the place.......;);)

We are off to coral bay on Friday for the whole of school holidays.....Yippeeeee!
Then off to ledge for an expandas get together! Can't wait.
Must say, looking at all the stuff I've put into our TPW (panda wagon), it's a wonder that the swan ever moved. I've even packed less stuff this time round, and haven't even got the kayaks or max trax hooked up yet to the car.

Please don't anyone think that I'm just being grumpy because we're stranded until the end of the Wet and you lot are about to get out for some fun. Since my early working days I've been amazed as to why so many people head out for Easter to "Get away from it all" only to go somewhere where everybody else has gone to "Get away from it all".

Following on from an earlier posting about working in Bordertown I then spent a similar time in Mt Gambier. Travelling to and from Adelaide was generally via the Coorong route with either using the Wellington Ferry or via Tailem Bend. On the 2 Thursday before Easter trips home we would get to the Dukes Hwy intersection and be amazed at the traffic jam of vehicles headed out from Adelaide to "Get away from it all". There was no South Eastern Freeway in those days until you got to Hahndorf and while we had next to no traffic on our side it was bumper to bumper headed out. We had the joy of being back in Adelaide for Easter where it was dead quiet, but then again it's normally like that even now :boink:

Wharncliffe Mill, Margaret River just for a couple of days just to say we made the effort. Not been there for more than 12 months, just after it had opened. Hopefully it isn't full of screaming faced kids. (Oops, there goes my dad again...)

Drove into Yeppoon Coolwaters this arvo from Carnarvon gorge, haven't had much of a chance to talk to anyone to see if they are members yet, but there's another 4 expands pretty well parked up next to us, this could turn into an unofficial, accidental expanda forum get together? Bigger of a trip in though, at some stage some type of animal has jumped out in front of our van entry door, hitting just on the corner of the entry well, it bent the outside door a bit and popped the bottom clip that holds the two sides together, didn't notice until we stopped for a coffee and saw the news it had made, luckily it had been raining a bit so must of the blood had washed off by the time we stopped, still got a bit of cleaning to do tomorrow up underneath though. Oh well the van still came off better than the poor thing that tried to tackle it.

At Rainbow Waters Caravan Park, Rainbow Beach. Off to the Carlo Sand Blow and hit the CBD today. I think the Bowls Club is on the cards for a light ale too.
