It gets very hot but the heat radiating from it I think within 150mm may be too close but I'm not sure if that would be a problem. BBQ lines are pretty near radiant heat most of the time.Sorry to drag up an old thread, but with a diesel heater on the way I'm doing some research for ideas.
My question is would it be ok to run the exhaust around 150mm from a gas line? One of the preferred locations to mount the unit would bring the exhaust this close for a short distance before I could route it away. The gas line in question was an extra one heading the the back of the van and I didn't think about the heater at the time.
I have other options but wanted to know from those with one setup how hot does the exhaust get in regards to radiating heat.
