Where abouts did you mount your fuel pump?

To the floor.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but with a diesel heater on the way I'm doing some research for ideas.

My question is would it be ok to run the exhaust around 150mm from a gas line? One of the preferred locations to mount the unit would bring the exhaust this close for a short distance before I could route it away. The gas line in question was an extra one heading the the back of the van and I didn't think about the heater at the time.

I have other options but wanted to know from those with one setup how hot does the exhaust get in regards to radiating heat.

It gets very hot but the heat radiating from it I think within 150mm may be too close but I'm not sure if that would be a problem. BBQ lines are pretty near radiant heat most of the time.

Well the exhaust pipe gets quite hot when it comes thru the floor and that is wood which is closer than 50mm to the exhaust outlet. Also the gas cooktop get extremely hot and that has the gas pipes running up to the jets!
BTW - did you get a muffler for the exhaust, I found that reduced the outside noise from our heater.

Thanks guys, yes I did get the muffler for the exhaust but not the intake.

I have another option which is away from everything but will lose a small amount of storage space. Will wait until it arrives and decide then. Thanks!

As stated by @Glen Bundesen it will be fine. The radiant heat from the pipe is unnoticeable especially at 150mm. If you wanted to be over cautious you could shield the gas line with something.
