Ours is aluminium clad on hi density foam filler composit lighter than fibreglass and apparently hail proof and won’t discolour like the fibreglass on our last two Jayco vans

As I said if high quality fg resins used etc (Not cheap imported rubbish from China which has happened over the last 20 years)) colours etc retain gloss and will last for years.I have a Jayco 2015 Journey Outback (fibre glass) which has not gone yellow.Although have twenty shades of white in the vents etc plus different colours on the polycarbonate items eg front bootlid..Many so called wax polishes will yellow with age also. The Avans have aluminium bonded to a high density polystyrene foam and they dent pretty easily.nearly all aluminium claddings have a two pak painted colour coat with a clear top coat. The life of quality two pak paints in the open is a round five years before they will start to go chalky.Of course longer if under cover

Big Mal is 7 yrs old, tin van looks new now, new tin and AC after hail in Nov.....but the old 14.44 handled the hail well just needed new vents...not a mark on the fibreglass.... Glad you came thru okay Dave, cats and dogs with noise in Toowoomba.

We decided to take advantage of Carmel having a week off chemotherapy to sneak away to somewhere quiet, Rocky Point Campground off the Bundaberg to 1770 road and caught up with some of her friends. $25 per night for 2 people self contained with ample bore water available. It’s on the bank of Baffle Creek and we had a little fish this morning with some success!!
