Jockey wheel almost on full as well ;(
Got chocks front and back. Might grab a axle stand he he

Nice spot Lane Cove, its where I blew a knee going for a run around the National Park. Be careful Dave. Its a shame the highway bypasses Holbrook, it was always one of stop overs on the east coast gauntlet. Cant see that sub too many times

I did look to move the van although site goes up and down and side to side in all weird angles must of been heavy rain washed it away

Seeing we got home Friday gave me time at LeisureFest :)
So on the first day of LeisureFest caught up with @Fabulous and Wife talked about how we have been slack on Vic catch ups :)
Brought a Bos370 Jockey wheel wanted one and after Lane Cover lovely flat sites Sarah saw the need as well
upload_2017-10-8_20-12-28.png

Spent 8 hours there looking and looking getting ideas. Also as Sarah did not come I could look anywhere :)
nice slide in box for tunnel just made from fridge slide and checker plate :)

Met a few other people I know there as well. Mate from work. Kids school friends parents looking to buy a Jayco .

On the second day $5 extra :) Sarah came arranged babysitter caught up with @mfexpanda and @mrsmfexpanda looked at the new jayco offerings. Had a great time as usual with Mario and Heather. Tired and sore feet now 21k steps yesterday 15k today :(
Looked at the new door catches to make sure doors stay closed with normal latch in offroad vans. Looks familiar think mum had some in 1960

IMG_4856.JPG

Brought a new chair my old oz tent broke last year no receipt :( been through two cheap Aldi's that not very comfy
upload_2017-10-8_20-20-16.png

Now if you need to buy anything and want someone to barter for you bring @mrsmfexpanda
Got two Sirocco fans with barter girl's help

Now to clean the van and install everything before service.

Wanted a hitch could not find anyone selling DO35. Although might go McHitch like others here have.
Although they where sold out.

ok was supposed to post while away at cup weekend was slack..

We got our van back from service.
We swapped the shower hatch cover for a new tinted one.. swapped I mean paid for.. keeps the back darker and hopefully not get as yellow.
The door was fixed the one that locked itself.. Well seems the lock was put on wrong from the factory I think we have a Friday van. Said something about upside down how the &(**( did they do that.
Went to put the DO35 on does not fit with cross bar. rear hand brake is 2cms too long. have a few ideas although think a ARK hitch be easier.
Put the BOS370 on and it works.

IMG_5013.JPG

those interested in DO35 problem
its 2cm too long.
Had a few suggestions to get around it.. move cross bar, side mount handbrake, put it on a hitch riser to get above the best was put it on a steel bar move forward although all are a compromise and how legal is riser and Steel bar.

So went to Tocomwal stopped at Broadford weigh station to weigh the van
Some thoughtful person in a Prado pulled up behind me to stuff up my weight totals
I said can you back off I just want to put the van on the jockey wheel to get my weight I be 1-2 mins
He grunted more like 20 mins.. and stood over me I was about to &*(&(* him thought better not with the kids.
Intersting his Prado weighed more then my Disco did including the almost 300 TBM weight.
So he will not be happy.. was 3520 so I think he over by 500kg :(

Now back to the van and car.. the 300 almost TBM weight is killing me
Need to empty water tanks although GTM we where just over by 40kg and ATM we where over by 90kg :( So 240kg of water take us under that.
Its the car we where over by around 90kg .. So need to diet and cut down ball weight somehow.
our empty ball is 220..
The car I can empty a little had flat pack BBQ, and 20kg of coals for said Ezyspit so thats around 35kgs. Could put that in back of the van with Annex :)
Be tight to get ball weight back to 220.. interesting when I look at new vans most of the TBM TARE for 22.68 under 200.. So not sure whats up with ours.

So do I go crazy and move the battery from under the bed..
the van sits and travels nicely..

Had a nice few days in Tocmwal the park was pretty full.. the free camps where very fully. no rain again second trip no rain cool :)
Had a spit roast and toasted marshmallows. :)

Did a couple of things to van while there
Put in the Fans and started on a USB 12V up near fridge so get the ipads off the kitchen bench.. Brought a cheap crimper hence started and gave up I solder it the next few days :)

Went away last weekend first time away for a 5 months :(
Things just kept getting in the way for planned trips.
Went to Bellarine for the last 5 days of school holidays.
Great weather the first 3.. then strong winds Friday night, so put the awning in and helped another 2 people do their awning blew away.
Always one person with no AFK or tie downs..
IMG_4410.JPGIMG_5837.JPG
Kids love the pool and the fact they can scooter around the roads.
IMG_5819.JPG
Went down and used my $20 rays voucher brought the mini projector and screen for outdoor movies $80 I think well spent for them :)
IMG_4436.JPG

Cold and wet the last two days so went for a drive down Torquay. Sun came out for 10 mins then storm again
IMG_4499.JPG
Did stop at Prestige Jayco they had a floor stock OB starcraft 22.68 with extras we like and L shape couch :) was good we did think it be $5-8k change over

Van wise I setup 4 USB chargers and another fan over dinette tapped into the 12v light circuit.. Like I did for others.
Although this is the wireless circuit so when I turned the light off 12v went off :( opps need to run the wire to a dedicated source now he he :)

Hi Dave,
What did you think of The L lounge and tabl does it have more room than the cafe dinnette
Yes opens up the area as no seat back next to fridge.

We have 4 kids and two adults. Dinette only sits 4.. L shape we can squeeze on another and put a chair on the other side.
The problems we find with dinette:
Its over the wheel arch, so whoever is on the window side needs no legs :)
One of the biggest problems is if you want to make the dinette into a bed over and over.
You need to un screw the leg on the dinette, then un do the clips then remove the table. The table is too big to fit in between the dinnette in the slot it should fit by 2 cms :( So you need to replace it with a piece of wood and put a cushion on. Then find somewhere for the table.
With the newer L shape vans they come with the gas lift table leg. Which goes down easy and you just put a cushion on. No working out where you put the table.. The table also moves sideways etc.

We already replaced the dinette table leg with the same gas lift so we can just lower the table and as the leg adds extra support we do not need a seperate peice of wood. Although need to lift both cushions put down then triple check it is in the middle.
Although your still short on space if its raining outside for a family of 6.

Go try both for yourself. I know people with the L shape who do not like how people are stuck in the middle.
Or the older ones the legs where a lot more wobbly before the gas leg
