Looks good Cruza, and look forward to your thoughts and comments on the redarc controller in use. It certainly is an easier fit, I anguished about it last time and eventually choose a P3 but I am thinking again about the redarc, my concerns are around the weight of our rigs and the proportioning.

Hi Jim, are you not happy with P3?

Thanks achjimmy :thumb: its a neat fit and people who have them seem to be very pleased with them so I thought I would give it a go myself. Our trip to Phillip Island trip that involved some twisty mountain roads and freeways and it work well. The adjustment is very fine so it doesn't take much to adjust it either way. The emergency function is good so you dont have to find a lever you just push in the dial.

As for the weight of the rigs, I think like any controller is effectiveness really also relies on the correct brake adjust on the vans. So far I have done 2 trips towing just over 700km and so far I am happy.

Cheers CD

Like it CD - I might change over. My current dealer fitted unit is under dash and awkward at best. I think fitted for cosmetic effect rather than practicality.

I just returned from an overnighter down to Phillip Island from the Yarra Valley and on the way my economy was displaying 8.9 and the trip home 9.4. This included hills and freeway.

No complaints here  and even if its a litre or so out I'm rapt :eyebrows: It will be interesting to see what it does once the mods start.

Is that towing the van? If that's the case I'm upgrading the car after our trip!

That is some fantastic fuel economy even if the computer is set to slightly optimistic (as they all are). Mmmmmm if only I needed a new car now! Unfortunately it'll have to wait till after the trip.

It was time to get the windows tinted as I haven't had a chance to organise it earlier. I went back to the place that has tinted several of our cars now including the Pajero just before Christmas. I have no affliation with Yarra Valley Tinting in Lilydale who did the job I'm just a very happy customer.

The tint on the rear window I got a bit darker than the rest as the sun streams straight in there the twin hoop sportsbar does create a bit of shade though.

I have also ordered my Bullbar which is hopefully ready early March.

And the pics of the tint....

Looks great nice and dark...

In fact very dark!
It actually looks darker than its is I thinks its because of the small windows not letting much light in and the black interior

Looks great mate, nice work. Which bullbar are you going for, ARB or TJM?

Thanks Millsy, and as for the bullbar I've gone the ARB . :thumb:

Gees mate its looking the part now!!

Its all starting again a bit of deja vu

Looking great, CD

Cheers CR

Mate looks good, needs some BFG MT's

Thanks Jim, I'm undecided what way I'll go for tyres yet maybe an A/T this time, but I think I'll wear these ones out 1st over summer.

I got over 100,000km out of the KM1's on the Cruiser though and alot of that towing, I'm pretty easy on my tyres ;)

I'm not getting as good mileage out of my tyres on the Ranger as I did on the Cruiser, the AT's are going alreight, but the more aggressive tyres scolloped out. Not sure if it has to do with the IFS.

Probably right Craig plus different profile tyres seem to wear differently too.

I was impressed with the tyre wear on the Cruiser considering its weight.
