we are now in planning for another road trip, since we haven't had a real holiday since our Awesome Cape York adventure three years ago it's time to head off again. Not quite as adventurous this time and will be timing the trip with our 2 Daughter's national competitions on the Gold Coast.

The plan for the trip:

Sunday afternoon (after the girls concert in Adelaide) Adelaide - Broken Hill
Monday. Broken Hill - Walgett
Tuesday. Walgett - Mooloolaba
Wednesday Mooloolaba
Thursday Mooloolaba
Friday. Mooloolaba - Gold Coast
Sat-Tuesday Gold Coast
Wednesday Gold Coast - Walgett
Thursday Walgett - Broken Hill
Friday Broken Hill - Riverton
Sat Riverton (have a Christmas show here)
Sun Riverton - Home

Thinking of staying at Mooloolaba Caravan Park and still looking at the Gold Coast as we need to be close to the Convention Centre.

A busy 2 weeks I know, but it'll beat 2 weeks at work

Hey @crackacoldie Mooloolaba is okay but can be very noisy with Frisay's night clup directly accross the road, my choice is Cotton Tree (we will be there the weekend of the 17th as my brother comes up for a month each year,) then Maroochydore Beach Caravan park, Jason the manager os a top bloke as is his wife and it's right on the beach also, either way give me a yell if you have time it would be great to catch up, cheers

Looking like Cotton Tree might be the winner on the Sunny Coast and Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast as it is closer to the Convention Centre and the Theme parks aren't on the list of things to do this time around.

Ok, so if we go to the sunny coast for a few days, then cotton tree looks like the place. On the Gold Coast we are thinking either Main Beach or Broad water tourist parks. Main beach looks very noisy and as we will be there around Schoolies (unfortunately), think broad water looks better.

A pity you'll be here around schoolies. It's a time we all avoid anything to do with tourism so I'd suggest you look for a quieter, no bells and whistles place...if possible.

But then, it might be ok if you bring a rotty, a barbed wire fence and good headphones.

Last year, we forgot about schoolies and camped near Noosa. It was like feral animals parading and prancing the whole time.....they tended to party all night, loudly, till they were tossed out!

All that aside, November is a good time to be at the coast. Sounds like a busy visit so enjoy it!
