Campovens , anyone use them?

@Xpandafan the box you made, did you make it a bit bigger to pack other goodies in around it or just big enough for the oven?

Used a "found" ply box just bit bigger than oven. Bedourie went in bottom, then hessian bag, camp oven base with trivet, cake tin, gloves etc., inside that. Then another lighter hessian bag and lid upside down. Stuffed matches, firelighters, tongs, brush and big spoon down corners. Going to make custom one soon to Expanda boot dimensions, but have to finish current projects before allowed to Bunnings unaccompanied.

Thanks @Xpandafan I think I might be going to the big green shed tomorrow morning, I normally play golf thursday mornings when I`m on arvo shift but the forcast for Ballarat is 12 deg and thunderstorms so it might be better spent in the shed I think I`m going to make a box for my WDH bars as well as the cardboard box doesn`t look to flash after nearly 10 years.

My WDH bars poke into a cross chassis member either side of the van right at the front. You'd think it was made for them.

When I make a stew in ours, I put balls of damper dough all over top (sort of like a fruit cobbler, but savoury), also cheese and bacon sometimes. Saves cooking a separate damper (especially handy if you only have one pot!).
