Pick the cruiser up this afternoon, a much smaller repair bill than first thought, thankfully. No damage to the manufacturers loom, only to the extras circuit, electric brakes, dual battery and accessories wire to the trailer plug.

..... and apparently the XXXX. Castlemaine came from Victoria, and we jettisoned that rubbish to QLD cause they drink anything
Ahh yep ok, knew some blokes in that area when they had a factory in Gladstone. Downturn has hit my industry hard, last 6 mths I have been dreading a tap on the shoulder.
I am in oil & gas, like most commodity industries, we have been hit hard by dropping prices, and knee jerk reactions by companies trying to appease their shareholders.
It does frustrate me that whilst companies can still make a profit, although not as much as in years gone by, shareholders still expect the same if not a higher dividend, and CEO salaries dont seem to decrease- so to save money we will cut our workforces to the bone and sell off or suspend all expansion or potential projects.
The silver lining in these cases for me at least, is as a consultant, when times get better, which they should in my industry by Q4 this year, every company has cut their own internal staffing capabilities so much that they then need me to meet their sudden requirements for a ramp up in activities.
A lot of very experienced bodies have been lost in the last year in my industry, and having seen this 3 times before, I seldom see those same people come back once things are travelling along better.
