I have looked and thought a lot about this
Option 1 2.5 by 2.5 gazebo at front of annex i think 3m is a bit big for some sites
Option 2 a track sewen into annex just above or below the bar comming off van
That supports the barrel then slide a porch into that as wide as your annex say 2.5 to 3m long suported by poles sloping down for run off this is my favored option
Option 3 do nothing
Option 4 sit under annex crack beer and again do nothing
Option 5 i think the porch that came with annex for my van is way to high and slopes the same as awning far to much i think i think i saw a hoilday annex that had the flexable track sewen into the annex and a porch with annex rope sewen into it this porch was much better re option 2 i think i took pics with good camera must look to see if i have them
Option 6 do option 2
Option 7 wait for pics explained in option 5 for an idea of what im craping on about Option 8 again do nothing its all getting to hard see option 4

Just had an Annex Porch 'built' for our van - I went to Wilfords Annexes in Maddington . We use to cart around a 3m x 3m Gazabo but these are relatively heavy and awkward to carry around. Have not set up with new 'Porch', intend to do a test run down to Busselton WA in a couple of weeks will try and remember to post a couple of photos.
They are of the shelf @BLJM but measurements are required. From memory there are three different widths to the carefree awnings they get wider as they get longer, give them a ring with the length of your awning and they will know what width to supply.

I've just discovered that the latest AFKs now come with two sail tracks as standard.
It's occurred to me that adding a porch or similar would then be very easy.
We will carry a very long sidewall which can horizontally extend the awning roof and drop down from poles....so will be very easy to setup (I hope), give additional shelter and space and be very lightweight!

We use a side wall for a Kings roof awning we brought from 4wd supacenter for around $30, it can slide into the rope track or velcro onto the suport bar.
That's the one! Tested it on the car awning, yet to try on the van but can't see why it wouldn't work.
I've added a couple of eyelets about a third of the way down on each side for the poles.
and I paid too much.....$31.....amazingly good value
